Sympathetic resonance is a harmonic phenomenon wherein a passive string or vibratory body responds to external vibrations to which it has a harmonic likeness.

I feel sympathetic resonance when I hear or read Esther’s work. She “sings” in me. Her perspectives on modern day relationships have led to great conversations, & great conversations lead to better relationships.

She is a Belgian-American psychotherapist, known for her work on human relationships, couples therapy, and addressing domesticity and desire in long term relationships. Her podcast, “Where Should We Begin?”, contains focused discussions on this, and in doing so brings discussion many wonder about into the light without fear of judgment, for we are our best when we both talk and listen.

Spoiler alert: communication goes a long way. Communication with a loving heart goes ever further.
