    How am I doing!

    Starting Weight: 138.4 kg

    Current Weight: 137.4kg

    Progress: -1kg

    Goal: 105kg*

So far I'm feeling pretty good. I haven't changed anything about what I'm eating consciously, however I know that since I'm tracking that I'm paying a bit more attention.

Something that I did do is remove the linking between all my accounts, so the Lose It! app isn't showing me a "calorie bonus" anymore which means that I'm always in the red according to it. I have added a calculation that is similar to it to my calorie tracking graph using my scale resting calories as the baseline.

Its more conservative than either the Garmin or Lose It! calculation, and since calorie tracking as a science is about as accurate as pissing in a cup towards in the wind from 2m, I feel a bit better about it for my long term tracking purposes.

I don't want to feel "safe" to eat a lot more just because I went for a little longer walk, or did a bit more work around the house. I want to eat when I'm hungry, and using a tracking app I'm more likely to grab an apple than a vachon pastry.

    The Plan

I have an initial plan figured out, complete with a goal weight of 105kg.

The vertical blue lines are the 90day sprints/tranches/sections. At the end of each 90 day group I will re-baseline and have a bigger think about what I'm doing.

    Following along

I will be continuing with these updates at least once a week.

    • This is my initial goal from Feb 2025. After the first 90 days I will re-evaluate and maybe add a composition goal too.
