Runeseer Sevaya - Splinterlands Art Contest

Hey Splinterlands fans and everyone else!

Hey there, I've been a bit away, working on something but, you know, stuff happens. Tonight I want to show you the drawing I did for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 285. This time a character from Rebellion and it's the first time I've done it 😄

I really liked this character when I saw it, though it's a bit challenging, I know. The pink skin, to start with, I had the idea of making it a strong pink, but no, later on I didn't like it, so I wanted a softer tone

I'm still trying out some stuff and although I got really into drawing, starting as I often do, with a simple blotch, but of course until I had a decent figure, I didn't save the first step since I had to keep improving and refining.

If you want to buy or rent this card, just

    Touch me! 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼

it will take you right to it.

    Good luck in the game.

When I started this drawing, well, besides creating the structure and envisioning roughly the character's clothing design, I made this interpretation that was also very flat. It was kind of crazy because I just painted over the blotch, whether with one color or another, I was alternating until reaching the supposed structure I wanted. I only had two layers, one for the background and the other for the character.

The previous step, that made my life easier because I think it was the most important, then it was just working with layer locking, drawing on top, so little by little I was detailing and shaping the body since I didn't have anything defined yet, this process was different, well not so much since I have also worked like this in past occasions, I focused besides giving it a face in advance, I also had to work on the costume since it was what would be seen the most. I used a combination of a brush (the usual one) with some texture and another brush that I use with the "👈🏼" tool, which I use to smooth out sometimes.

    -.-

What I mainly wanted to work on was the armor, the truth is that I really like golden things, and I wanted to be happy with it, I think I even left the face a bit aside but I would work on it later. Also, I detailed a bit more on the abdomen since previously it looked more like the skin, so this time I tried to make it appear more superficial.

    -.-

As I progressed, I was detailing some things, I think some things I liked about doing in this drawing, just blotches and detailing things, in a lock layer it's good because the one thing I needed was to give shape to what I wanted to do and when I was happy with that, like in that case like the horns, that allowed me not to have so many layers and I think that's good.

    -.-

I've worked a bit on the background since before it was just a flat color that still worked for the sky. I think, as I said, the main thing I've worked on and wanted to finish first was the armor, so until I was happy with that, I didn't move on to anything else. Apart from that, I've worked a little more on the fabric, but I hadn't worked on the hand yet.

    -.-

There were some advances in the face because I practically hadn't done much on that, I think at this point, I already had the entire armor ready. Previously, I had the hair in a flat color but then I detailed it a bit more to make it look like hair. I also worked a bit on the horns, with some small details. One of the things that were missing to do, which I hadn't even done yet, was the scepter. There wasn't much left to do.

    -.-

To finish up, I worked on some final touches, finished the background because it needed a few clouds and also some lighting. There were some things I needed to improve, like the lighting and shadows, there weren't many things left to do but those small details that were needed to finish it off.

    -.-

Thank you very much for taking the time to view my work.
