Wrapping up the series of posts about Smithys Bullion today I wanted to show off some of the Figurines and Busts that Smithy has made with Investment Casts. Each of these could probably be a post on its own but I wanted to finish off the series with a bang so I've pulled them all together in the one final post.
First up is the Fighter who has been beautifully finished to show off the high detail of this creation. Exhibiting a ripped six-pack he has his fists wrapped and he looks ready to punch on here. The detail in the beard and his funky mohawk hair is also very cool.
Another one of my favorites is the Koala and again the detail here is exceptional. This cute little fella has got a Boomerang in hand giving this piece the Fair Dinkum Aussie appeal and you can even see the engravings on the Boomerang itself. I'd predict this would be one of his most popular creations outside of Australia.
I'm not sure who this Moustachioed Bust is. I kind of get Stalin vibes from it, but Stalin did have hair. Perhaps another prize fighter or wrestler of days gone by. A nice smooth finish on the torso and bald head. Maybe this is Smithy doing a self-portrait!? If anyone could do it then he certainly could.
This Pirate Bust is more my style. This grizzly scowling dude with the head scarf is not someone you'd want to come across on the high seas. There is a lot of cool detail here too like the earrings, teeth and those wild eyebrows. A bad-ass piece to finish the series off with.
