I read many blogs from both swedish and international FIRE and finance people. They have different opinions on how much is needed, but one thing they all share is the goal that one day they will have enough to never have to worry about money again.
I read these blogs as a inspiration, because I also have a loose idea that one day I dont have to work just beacasue I need to pay my bills. I would rather have more freedom to pursue whatever I feel like doing. I also read this because I have a strong feeling in my stomach that the pension isn't gonna be there when i actually get old enough to be benefiting from it. There is no way that I can survive for that long with the current structure.
Soo, my question is "Have You Planned Your Future?" and usually my answer is no.
I have hard time to research and plan enough that I can feel comfortable with my plans. One reason for it is because I feel to comfortable at my job right now, I enjoy my collegues and can tolerate all my job assignments. This make me soft and lazy, even though I understand that this might not always be the case for me and the only way to actually do something about it is to start plan now for a potential future where I either dont wanna stay or maybe will be layed off?
I have several ideas of what I could do, invest in real estate with a certain nische. I have started to enjoy working with my hands since I bought a house. I have some ideas of business I wanna buid on Hive which I think I have the skills to atleast start and try out. I have ideas of starting making content in different niches and try to earn extra money from that.
Or why not just start AirBnB?
Many ideas, lack in the execution part.
My hope is to one day kick myself enough to get started with something that might help me in the future and not just be indifferent to whatever happens.
