Happy Friday my dearest people of the artistic community, I hope you have had an excellent and productive week, I am Manuel and as always I want to welcome you a new opportunity to my art blog, this time I wanted to draw something more related to the theme of the elements that as many who follow me for some time will know is one of my favorite things to illustrate; the character I decided to create is a beautiful woman with bright blue hair called (SAMMIRAH) which has just discovered that inside her hides a very very great power, it turns out that a few nights ago while taking a walk under the moonlight accidentally was hit by a blue lightning which surprisingly did not affect her, or at least that's what she believed, it turns out that this lightning gave her the ability to manipulate lightning and also to generate them from the palm of her hands:
Feliz viernes mi queridísima gente de la comunidad artística, espero hayan tenido una excelente y productiva semana, yo soy Manuel y como siempre quiero darles la bienvenida una nueva oportunidad a mi blog de arte, en esta oportunidad me apeteció dibujar algo mas relacionado con la temática de los elementos que como muchos que me siguen desde hace tiempo sabrán es de mis cosas favoritas para ilustrar; el personaje que decidí crear se trata de una hermosa mujer de cabello azul brillante llamada (SAMMIRAH) la cual acaba de descubrir que dentro de ella se oculta un poder muy muy grande, resulta que unas noches atrás mientras daba un paseo bajo la luz de la luna accidentalmente fue alcanzada por un relámpago azul el cual sorprendentemente no la afecto, o al menos eso es lo que ella creía, resulta que ese relámpago le otorgo la habilidad de manipular los rayos y además de generarlos desde la palma de sus manos:
For this work I decided to create a semi-full body character, I decided to draw (SAMMIRAH) right in the middle of my canvas as if she was contemplating attentively that something happens with her fingers and it is nothing more than the energy of lightning running through the palm of her hand; as this would be a character entirely based on my imagination I decided to choose a palette of colors a little more varied with shades like soft violet, blue, deep purple and a couple more. For the construction of the skin I started using the violet tone as a base, my idea more than anything was to create a little softer strokes since it would be a female character, create a fairly intermediate volume to give as much as possible a more or less thin appearance to the character; then for the section of the eyes I wanted to create a little contrast with the skin and that is why I decided to give a more grayish color, and the lips I gave them a more electric blue tone to be complemented later with the hair.
Para esta obra decidí crear un personaje a cuerpo semi completo, decidí dibujar a (SAMMIRAH) justo en medio de mi lienzo como si se encontrara contemplando atentamente que algo ocurre con sus dedos y no es más que la energía del relámpago corriendo por la palma de su mano; como este se trataría de un personaje enteramente basado en mi imaginación pues decidí elegir una paleta de colores un poco mas variada con tonos como el violeta suave, el azul, el morado intenso y un par más. Para la construcción de la piel empecé usando el tono violeta como base, mi idea más que todo era buscar crear trazos un poco más suaves ya que se trataría de un personaje femenino, cree un volumen bastante intermedio para darle en lo posible una apariencia mas o menos delgada al personaje; luego para el apartado de los ojos quise crear un poco de contraste con la piel y es por ello que me decidí por darle un color más grisáceo, y a los labios les di una tonalidad más azul eléctrica para que se complementaran más adelante con el cabello.
The painting of the hair I decided to do it using a sky blue color that in particular I love very much and in my opinion would suit this character with this semi realistic style, well basically what I did to give a good appearance to the hair was to create more or less wavy strokes from the sides and down trying to give a very wavy appearance to the hairstyle of (SAMMIRAH); later when the hair had taken more or less the realism that I wanted the last thing I did here was to create a separate layer of light and create certain strokes of glitter in the area of the crown, and to the sides with the intention of making the hair look as good as possible. In the case of the clothes for my character I chose to create a long dress, with straps and a slight neckline to denote a bit of sensuality to my character, the base for the dress I did with the watercolor brush and playing with navy blue, then gradually I added layers of glitter progressively.
El pintado del pelo decidí hacerlo usando un color azul cielo que en lo particular me encanta mucho y a mi parecer le vendría muy bien a este personaje con este estilo semi realista, bueno básicamente lo que hice para darle buena apariencia al cabello fue crear trazos mas o menos ondulados de hacia los lados y hacia abajo tratando de darle una apariencia muy ondulada al peinado de (SAMMIRAH); posteriormente cuando el cabello había cobrado mas o menos el realismo que yo deseaba lo último que hice aquí fue crear un capa aparte de luz y crear ciertos trazos de brillos en la zona de la coronilla, y hacia los lados con la intensión de que el pelo se viese lo mejor posible. En el caso de la ropa para mi personaje opte por crear un vestido largo, con tirante y un leve escote que denotara un poco de sensualidad a mi personaje, la base para el vestido la hice con el pincel acuarela y jugando con el azul marino, luego poco a poco fui añadiendo capas de brillos de manera progresiva.
I painted the scenery for my drawing thinking in a kind of open plane of mountains, I created several mountains in the back first using reddish and blue tones, creating the basic texture of rock with a brush without much texture, then I was gradually polishing the mountains with small cracks and fissures on the edges and so on; with the mountains ready the next thing I did was to go to the back of my canvas and create small clouds of light purple color and I was populating little by little until I got as close as possible to where it is (SAMMIRAH). Finally I created a small full moon to accompany the night and of course I started to create a lightning coming out of the extended finger of the character and giving the idea that he is making circles with it, the lightning I did it using the watercolor and creating the basic form as a long branch with small divisions; once the lightning looked as I wanted the last thing I had to do was to give it some lighting and for this I created a new layer in shine mode and I was tracing all the edges of the lightning to light it subtly so that it looked full charged of electric energy.
El pintado del escenario para mi dibujo lo hice pensando en una especie de plano abierto de montañas, cree varias montañas en la parte de atrás primero usando tonalidades rojiza y azules, creando la textura básica de roca con un pincel sin mucha textura, luego fui puliendo poco a poco las montañas con pequeñas grietas y fisuras en los bordes y demás; con las montañas ya listas los siguiente que hice fue pasarme hasta la parta más atrás de mi lienzo e ir creando pequeña nubes de color purpura claro y fui poblando poco a poco hasta llegar lo más cerca posible a donde esta (SAMMIRAH). Finalmente cree una pequeña luna llena que acompañara un poco la noche y por supuesto empecé a crear un relámpago saliendo del dedo extendido del personaje y dando un poco la idea de que está haciendo círculos con él, el relámpago lo hice usando el acuarela y creando la forma básica como de una larga rama con pequeñas divisiones; una vez el relámpago se veía como yo deseaba lo ultimo que me quedaba por hacer era darle un poco de iluminación y para esto cree una nueva capa en modo shine y fui trazando por todos los bordes del relámpago para iluminarlo sutilmente de modo que se viese full cargado de energía eléctrica.
