Hello wonderful people, it’s a great pleasure to participate in this competition along side other talented and amazing artists and songwriters.
I wrote this when i was going through a difficult time and if you can relate to it in any way then i hope you heal too. It is called “Fragments of Us” and here are the lyrics;
Broken heart, torn apart,
All my dreams gone so far.
The love I thought was true,
But now I know that's not true.
Once so close, so near,
Now I'm left with only fear.
My heart's in pieces,
My future uncertain,
My life's in disarray,
And my tears fall each day.
My eyes are red,
My head's in a mess,always spinning
And all I feel is pain,
Will I ever love again?
I guess this is the end of our romance,
But I'll try to find a way to carry on,
Though my tears may fall like rain,
I'll pick myself up once again,
I'll try to mend my broken heart,
Though it may seem like an impossible task,
I'll find the strength to carry on,
I'll put the past behind me and look to the future,
And hope that someday love will find me once more.
When the sun shines once again,
I'll smile and my heart will mend,
I'll look to the future and not the past,
And my tears will be wiped away at last,
I'll find my joy again,
And love will find me in the end,
My broken heart will heal,
And my life will no longer be a living hell.
I'll be strong and I'll be brave,
And my broken heart will be saved,
I'll find my way through the storm,
And love will bring me sweet norm.
For a broken heart I've paid the price,
But I'll rise above with love and light,
I'll live my life with joy and grace,
And never forget this special place,
Where I found my strength once more,
And learned what love is for,
Now my heart is healed,
And I'll never again be controlled by fear,
Because I know that love is here,
And it's stronger than my tears.
