Hello, great members of the MCGI community. Today’s preaching by Brother Eli really made me happy because this is a topic that a lot of us have always deliberated on.
It’s about giving tithe and also doing things in the church of God.
When a Christian wants to do something for the church or maybe drop some offerings, some of them feel unsure about it. A lot of Christians usually think whatever money they drop or support they give to the church belongs to the pastor or head of church but we are wrong.
The pastor totally has nothing to do with whatever money we give to the church and that’s just the fact. Whatever we give to the church is meant for the growth of the church.
Just as Brother Eli said, the MCGI community is a big branch but cannot be everywhere in the world. Whereas, a lot of people may want to attend the program and that’s why they brought it online. Now, the MCGI church may need some funds to always show their programs online which means that the members of the church will need to show some form of support which may mostly be financial.
It means that is what the church is using the funds for these things mentioned but not for the Pastor to eat.
You have to be willing and not making it look like the pastor forced you to support the church.
Isiah 1:19 says, If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;
This is exactly the Bible scripture Brother Eli followed.
As Christians, if we want to support the church, we should always have it in mind that we are doing it for God and not for the pastor.
We should do it for God.
