If you like to know history, but you're not the type to sit down and read a book, the best way to do it is through movies. Biographical films show important facts about events that marked history, among them is the film Tetris which tells you about the origin and all the obstacles that the creator and distributor of this popular game had to overcome.
If you were born after the 80s at some point in your life, you had to come across the game Tetris which is a puzzle that consists of arranging cubes in a set time. If you manage to arrange all the cubes so that they fit, the lines are cleared, and you continue playing without running out of lives.
This is one of the best-selling video games that went around the world. It could be adapted for computers and laptops. When I decided to watch this film, I did not imagine everything that its development, distribution, and how government policies influenced it.

Las películas biográficas muestran datos importantes de eventos que marcaron la historia, entre ellas está la película Tetris que te narra el origen y todos los obstáculos que tuvieron que pasar el creador y el distribuidor de este juego tan popular.
Si naciste después de la década de los 80 en algún momento de tu vida tuviste que toparse con el juego de Tetris qué trata de un rompecabezas que consiste en ordenar cubos en un tiempo determinado si logras ordenar todos los cubos de forma que encajen se borran las líneas y sigues jugando sin que se te acabe la vida.
Este es uno de videojuegos más vendidos y que le dieron la vuelta al mundo. De los que se pudieron realizar adaptaciones para computadoras y portátiles. Cuando me decidí por ver esta película, no me imaginaba todo lo que había sido su desarrollo, distribución y cómo influyeron las políticas de un gobierno.

The name of this game is a combination of 2 words that the creator came up with, Tetris means cubes and tennis, since the creator's children were fans of tennis games, he wanted to unite his children's passion for tennis with his creation of cubes, and that's what originated the name Tetris.
The movie shows how the game's creator was a man who worked in programming full-time and during his free hours at night, he played around with programming languages creating this little game that he shared among his coworkers and that was liked so much that it spread throughout the entire Soviet Union as a distraction for adults.
Its creator never imagined that what he had created was an idea worth billions of dollars. A foreign entrepreneur learned about the potential of this game and decided to buy the rights from the Soviet Union, who sold them, and then throughout the movie, it shows how it was manipulated and changed without receiving any benefit for its original creator.
The movie begins at a technology trade show, where one of the exhibitors saw how people were playing with Tetris and decided to acquire the rights to the game and be its distributor worldwide. This person is the protagonist of the movie Henk Rogers, an American married to a Japanese woman, living in Japan, and also has knowledge of programming languages.
The whole movie is based on the difficulties that this entrepreneur Henk Rogers had to obtain the original rights of the game and for its creator and the distributing company to have fair profits. He had to overcome many obstacles that made him risk his heritage and strained his family relationship. In the beginning, the partners he found wanted to deceive him, so he had to go several times to the Soviet Union, the United States, and Japan to secure a real contract.
El nombre de este juego es la combinación de 2 palabras que se le ocurrió a su creador, Tetris significa cubos y tenis, ya que los hijos del creador eran aficionados a los juegos de tenis entonces él quiso unir la pasión de sus hijos por el tenis con su creación de cubos y es lo que originó el nombre de Tetris.
En la película muestran cómo el creador del juego era un hombre que se dedicaba a la programación como trabajo de tiempo completo y durante sus horas libres en la noche se dedicaba a jugar con los lenguajes de programación creando este pequeño juego que fue compartiendo entre sus compañeros de trabajo y que gustó tanto que se fue esparciendo por toda la Unión Soviética como una distracción para adultos.
Su creador nunca imaginó que lo que había creado era una idea que valía miles de millones de dólares lo cierto es que un empresario extranjero se enteró del potencial de este juego y decidió comprarle los derechos a la Unión Soviética que se los vendieron y después muestran durante toda la película como fue manipulado y cambiado sin recibir ningún tipo de beneficio para su creador original.
La película inicia en una exposición empresarial de tecnología allí uno de los exponentes vio cómo las personas jugaban con Tetris y decidió conseguir los derechos de este juego y ser su distribuidor en todo el mundo esta persona es el protagonista de la película Henk Rogers un norteamericano casado con una japonesa, vivían en Japón y también tenía conocimientos de lenguaje en programación.
Toda la película se basa en las dificultades que tuvo este empresario Henk Rogers para conseguir los derechos originales del juego y que su creador como la empresa distribuidora tuvieran ganancias de forma equitativa. Tuvo que superar muchos obstáculos que lo hicieron arriesgar su patrimonio y someter en tensión su relación familiar, ya que los socios qué se conseguían al principio quisieron engañarlo por lo que él mismo tuvo que acudir en varias oportunidades a la Unión Soviética a los Estados Unidos y a Japón a consolidar un contrato real.

Many elements of this movie captivated me, starting with the historical context. It shows what life was like in communism, all the repression that existed for community members, where an ordinary citizen could not profit from their ideas because the government owned all the ideas that made money. There was no freedom of expression, people were monitored and labelled enemies of the nation with severe consequences if they were thought to be so.
Henk Rogers characterized by Taron Egerton, is a charismatic and sincere character, his only motivation is to provide economic stability for his family, which consists of his wife and four children. He is shown as a kind and fair person who speaks the truth during any business, a quality that led him to secure the rights of the Tetris game.
Another element that I liked is that even though it is a biographical film, we can see scenes of suspense, action, and even humour, all in the right measure, making its development more interesting for the viewer.
The graphic part was beautiful, in each chapter cut they showed figures of the same Tetris game designed in a spectacular way that made you believe you were watching a movie and a game, the scenes with more action were pixelated, it is a very original way to remember that everything is based on the game of Tetris.
The performances, costumes, and different environments during the development of the film were extraordinary. I enjoyed all the time I watched this movie, it is one of the few I would dare to watch again because it is fun, exciting, emotional, and leaves an important message about the value of friendship, loyalty, justice, and ambition.
Hay muchos elementos de esta película que me cautivaron empezando por el contexto histórico muestran cómo es la vida en comunismo, toda la represión que existía a los miembros de la comunidad, donde un ciudadano común no podía ganar por sus ideas porque el gobierno era el dueño absoluto de las ideas que generan dinero, no existe libertad de expresión, las personas eran vigiladas si caían bajo la etiqueta de ser un enemigo de la nación y las consecuencias que debían vivir si ellos pensaban que era así.
Henk Rogers caracterizado por Taron Egerton, es un personaje carismático y sincero, su única motivación es darle estabilidad económica a su familia que está conformada por su esposa y sus cuatro hijos, se muestra como una persona amable justo y qué dice la verdad durante cualquier negocio cualidad que lo llevó asegurarse de los derechos del juego tetris.
Otro elemento que me gustó es que aunque es una película del género biográfico, podemos ver escenas de suspenso, acción, y hasta humor, todo a su justa medida, haciendo más interesante su desarrollo para el espectador.
La parte gráfica fue hermosa en cada corte de capítulo mostraban figuras del mismo juegos de Tetris diseñadas de forma espectacular que te hacían creer que estabas viendo una película y un juego, las escenas de mayor acción las mostraban pixeladas es una forma muy original de recordar que todo se basa en el juego de Tetris.
Las actuaciones el vestuario y los diferentes ambientes durante el desarrollo de la película me parecieron extraordinarios disfruté todo el tiempo que miré esta película es de las pocas que me atrevería a repetir porque es divertida emocionante, emotiva y te deja un mensaje importante sobre el valor de la amistad, la lealtad, la justicia y la ambición.
