Today, I want to share my experience with one of my favorite superfoods – amla (Indian gooseberry). It is renowned in Ayurveda as a remarkable medicinal herb. Amla is not only beneficial for our health but also nourishes our body and fills it with energy. Since ancient times, it has been an integral part of Ayurvedic remedies.
Whenever we hear the word 'amla',most of us think of murabba or pickles. But trust me, it’s way more beneficial than that. I also used to take it lightly, but once I understood its benefits, I made it a regular part of my life.
The Taste and Power of Amla
At first, I found amla’s tangy and slightly bitter taste a bit odd. But when I started drinking it as juice, I realized how amazing it is. It not only boosts your immunity but also works wonders for your skin and hair.

Amla is packed with vitamin C. If you fall sick often, start including it in your diet. I’ve personally experienced how much energy it gives me. Drinking a glass of amla juice first thing in the morning on an empty stomach makes me feel active and fresh throughout the day.
My Experience with Amla Juice
In my family, drinking amla juice is a regular habit. My mom always says that it makes your skin glow and improves digestion. Honestly, ever since I started drinking it, I’ve noticed a natural glow on my face. My pimples and tanning have also reduced significantly.
And for hair? It’s magical! If you’re dealing with hair fall, start eating amla, drinking its juice, and applying amla oil. This three-step routine can do wonders.
How to Add Amla to Your Diet
If you’re wondering how to include amla in your daily routine, it’s really simple:
Raw Amla: Eat it fresh with a pinch of salt.
Juice: I prefer making fresh juice at home.
Powder: If fresh juice isn’t possible, mix amla powder with honey or water.
Murabba: A delicious option that everyone, from kids to adults, loves.

In my opinion, everyone should include amla in their diet. It’s a natural superfood that solves multiple problems – boosting immunity, improving skin and hair, and aiding digestion.
So, if you haven’t tried amla yet, give it a shot. It’s one of the best ways to stay healthy and fit.
What about you? Have you ever had amla or its juice? If not, when are you planning to try it?
