The Province of Misamis Oriental contains lots of great overviews and sceneries just like Mountains, Rivers, Plains and even Seas. This is a gift of Nature for us. As part of my travel blog, I decided to went on some high mountains found in Manticao, Misamis Oriental the Bandera mountain. This place is the only highest mountain here in Barangay Poblacion and from here the low and plain places can be seen including the seas. There are also some stories about those people who lives in this place that time including their way of living.
Location:
Bandera mountain is also part of Sitio Linangga in Manticao, this place is located near at Manticao river and SMS free tower site near at Electric substation. From Barangay Poblacion, It needs to travel a few minutes before we reached the place. The exploration also includes the road trail and passing through the river. This place is quitely far from crowded places just like Market and National Road and only few houses can be seen here.
Bandera mountain contains lots of beautiful sceneries and landscapes. Also many kinds of trees and wild plants can be seen and found here as well. The road contains lots of rocks because the place is filled with tons of silica stones.
Most of the place contains lots of stones and there are also tons of silica stones can be seen here. Most of the people wants to be here bringing their bikes to have bike race on the obstacle place. Some of the roads of the place are already silica stones because the soil was already washed away due to big floods and erosions.
Only few houses can only be seen here and it is made of light materials just like bamboos, round lumbers, planks and plainsheets. This structures are built in very unique and it contains with styles. People loves to live here in the place because the areas are very peaceful and calm. Some of the houses are made near at the big trees with a long foundations so that the floors will hang up. There are some houses are already abandoned and the only thing its left is the structures.
From here it can also seen those neighboring mountains here in Manticao, there are also few houses made of light materials and it is very unique. The plain areas can also be seen here and most of the crops planted in the plain areas area coconuts.
As we go to the mountain slope, we can seen and found this wide plain areas filled with coconut plants. This are the primary source of income to all residents here. The place is also one of the animals ranch areas were many kinds of grass can be eaten by farm raising animals like Cows, Carabaos, Goats and Horse.
This is the mini Forest at the place were many trees can be found. We called this kind of trees, Salimbunot. Bandera mountain contains lots of this kind of trees and it can make the place cool and very nice to see. This place is already well known and popular in the neighboring places and towns. Many people loves to went here specially during summer season. There are lots of birds, wild animals and insects hiding in the place. It also used as farm places were many kinds of crops planted here and sell to the market. For those people who loves mountain climbing, you can also add this place in your travel list. This place will bring you enjoyable and relaxing adventure and how cool and beautiful the views and sceneries.
