These charming creatures can be found at any time of the year in deciduous or mixed forests, except summer. In summer they are quite secretive, busy with their family affairs. But with the arrival of autumn, small groups of them wander together through the forests, often shouting at each other so as not to lose each other.

Not losing the others and not falling behind their flock is very important for them. These birds are sociable and do not live alone, with the exception of the nesting period, when the birds are forced to hunt on their own alone.
They even always sleep together, sitting on a branch and pressing tightly against each other.
