Forgiveness of sins is very important because God, our creator forgives us once we sin against him and it will not be bad if we do that to someone like us as well. And when some people are angry, they will tell you that after now, they won’t forgive you so it means they are giving you a last chance.
Is that supposed to be it? Is it supposed to be like that? No! God wants us to forgive as many times as we can and we practicing the act of forgiveness with people will even help us get close to God and he will forgive us of our sins as well.
Then, what kind of sin are you committing? Is it a forgivable sin or not? Also, is it grievous or unpardonable? Also, when your sin is not intentional, God will surely forgive you because you’re not aware of what you are doing but the moment when you are aware of the things that you do or the sins that you commit, you will surely pay for your actions.
And how many times can we forgive someone when they sin unto us? Let’s go back to the time when Matthew asked Jesus about forgiveness of sins.
Matthew 18:21 says; Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
This may be countable but Jesus is trying to let Matthew and us know that we should forgive people as many times as we can.
If God can forgive us so many times, we should forgive people so many times too.
God helps those who help themselves and we can help ourselves by forgiving those who sin against us.
