Taking care of our Parents is necessary but not mandatory

I agree that taking good care of our parents when they are old is a necessary obligation, neglecting their welfare at any time is like bringing coal or fire on one's head. The gospel truth is that, it's only a parent that takes good care of his or her children while they are young will receive the best of care from such a child at old age.

It's like the law of karma which says, whatever you sow you shall reap, let us not deceive ourselves, some parents aren't worthy to be cared for because they themselves didn't care about their children while growing at all.

No gender is exempted here, both male and female nowadays do the abandonment. I know of a man who abandoned his 2 boys with his wife, he only wants children but doesn't contribute a penny to the welfare of both the wife and kids, all he wanted was to enjoy his life in the bar parlor with his useless friends.

This made the woman sake for shelter else where and he wasn't bothered about them. She does different kinds of labourer work to train her kids and along the line the woman meant a widower who married her and took her children in. The new husband trained her kids like his own, then the run away husband started threatening his ex-wife husband to give him back his children, claiming he fathered the boys. Please who does that?

It's so sad that some parents are evil, they don't want to take responsibilities at all on their children but when such child struggles and conquer life in his or her own little way, the useless parent will now be back begging to have a place in such a child's life. And if such a child refused them, you all will start hearing my child abandoned me when I needed him or her most. We all need to be very careful of how we live our lives today because tomorrow isn't sure for anybody.

As I have earlier said, it's very good to take good care of our parents when they are either young or old, it's a necessary obligation for every child to do their best for them but there is no law that says it's mandatory to take full responsibilities of them.

If not maybe sickness that might bed ridden some, no parents should wait for their children to eat and live okay. I believe everyone should try to save up for old age and anything the children would be sending to them in the future would be an addition to what they already have.

Some parents nowadays have made it mandatory for their children to be sending them allowances on a regular basis, some even applied pressure on their children when there is a delay in their allowances without caring about how such child is living with his or her family.

I would say for me, I'm part of those that are always thinking on ways to take good care of my parents because they deserved it, the sacrifices they made since my birth can't be counted. What I love most about my parents is the joy in them seeing myself and siblings living fine, that alone is enough for them.

My parents will always say that we should worry less about them that they can take good care of themselves. All that they need is for us all to use our respective money in judicious ways and that their pension allowances and the little earnings from their business is enough to feed the two them.

If not until my siblings and I vexed for them that's when they started accepting whatever we send to them. We send packages to them not frequently but anytime we are buoyant enough to do so and they usually cherish it like they won a jackpot.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a nice weekend!
