I fell in love with music at a very tender age. It all began in the church with a group called the Salvation Singers. We were a mixed group of both male and female singers, and we quickly gained a reputation as the best group in the church. Winning several competitions, our passion for music made us stand out. I was even promoted to the church's junior choir and eventually became the choir master.
As I grew older, my love for music only intensified, leading me to pursue it professionally. In 2009, I joined forces with two friends to form a group called Hip Hop House of Rapz. Together, we attended events and shows, booked studio sessions, and performed on the same stage. We even had a few songs that gained popularity locally, earning us fans from our neighborhood and beyond.
However, in 2015, everyone decided to pursue their own paths, prompting me to start writing my own music. With the help of a musical producer, I began creating my own sounds and seeking out opportunities to perform.
I invested in distributing my songs on various streaming platforms like Apple Music, Audiomack, and Spotify, despite facing setbacks such as my YouTube page being demonetized.
Despite these challenges, my passion for music kept me going. I would often listen to motivational speeches to stay motivated and focused. Then, one fateful day, a friend introduced me to a music business promoter and influencer. Through his connections, I gained exposure to a larger audience not only in my neighborhood but throughout my country. This marked a turning point in my music career, as I realized I could make money from my music through streaming platforms and gained even more followers.
Reflecting on my journey so far, I am grateful for the challenges that have shaped me and the opportunities that have propelled me forward. I believe that no matter what obstacles we face, perseverance and determination will ultimately lead us to success.
