El día de hoy quisiera unirme a la iniciativa propuesta por la amiga @lunaticanto dónde nos invita a compartir tres cualidades que nos hagan sentir orgulloso de nosotros mismos. Yo siempre he pensado que el amor propio es muy importante porque nos permite aceptarnos y valorarnos tal como somos, además de representar un paso primordial hacia la felicidad y el bienestar propio.
Today I would like to join the initiative proposed by our friend @lunaticanto where she invites us to share three qualities that make us feel proud of ourselves. I have always thought that self-love is very important because it allows us to accept and value ourselves as we are, besides representing a fundamental step towards happiness and well-being.
El día de San Valentín por lo general expresamos el amor que sentimos hacia nuestros seres queridos y muchas veces nos olvidamos de que debemos también amarnos y respetamos a nosotros mismos como seres humanos. Claro, expresar nuestros sentimientos a nuestras parejas, hijos y familiares es importante pero no debemos dejarnos a nosotros mismos de lado.
On Valentine's Day we usually express the love we feel for our loved ones and many times we forget that we should also love and respect ourselves as human beings. Sure, expressing our feelings to our partners, children and family members is important but we should not leave ourselves aside.
Por eso debe ser esencial comprender que el amor propio es vital en nuestras vidas y ese no lo recibiremos de nadie más que de nosotros mismos. Aprender a aceptarnos y amarnos aún con nuestros defectos nos hará sentir en paz con nosotros mismos, porque no solo se trata de ver nuestras mejores cualidades sino de aceptar nuestros defectos y hacer lo posible por mejorar cada día.
That is why it must be essential to understand that self-love is vital in our lives and that we will not receive it from anyone else but ourselves. Learning to accept and love ourselves even with our defects will make us feel at peace with ourselves, because it is not only about seeing our best qualities but also about accepting our defects and doing our best to improve every day.
Entre las cualidades que más amo de mi personalidad está la Responsabilidad, cualidad que valoro muchísimo porque me ha permitido abrirme muchas puertas en la vida, no solo cumpliendo mis deberes y obligaciones sino también aceptando las consecuencias de mis actos y asumiendo lo que ello implica.
Among the qualities that I love most about my personality is Responsibility, a quality that I value very much because it has allowed me to open many doors in life, not only fulfilling my duties and obligations but also accepting the consequences of my actions and assuming what it implies.
Otra cualidad muy importante en mi persona es la honestidad, serle fiel a los principios que me inculcaron mis padres desde niña se ha vuelto una prioridad. Ser una persona honesta para mí más que una cualidad es una virtud y no solo debemos ser honesto con las demás personas sino con nosotros mismos.
Another very important quality in my person is honesty, being faithful to the principles that my parents instilled in me since I was a child has become a priority. Being an honest person for me more than a quality is a virtue and we should not only be honest with other people but with ourselves.
Y la última cualidad que valoro muchísimo en mi personalidad es la comprensión y la amabilidad, con el pasar de los años he aprendido que no debemos juzgar a nadie por sus actos pues cada quien es libre para actuar y asumir las consecuencias de sus acciones. Por ello siempre he tratado de comprender y aceptar las distintas maneras de pensar de las personas que se encuentran en mi entorno.
And the last quality that I value very much in my personality is understanding and kindness, over the years I have learned that we should not judge anyone for their actions because everyone is free to act and assume the consequences of their actions. That is why I have always tried to understand and accept the different ways of thinking of the people around me.
Así mismo, amo ser una persona amable y cordial con las personas que me rodea. Para mí el respeto hacia el prójimo es muy importante, así que le doy mucha importancia a estos valores y trato a las otras personas con amabilidad y cortesía, esperando ser tratada de la misma manera.
Likewise, I love to be a kind and cordial person with the people around me. For me, respect for others is very important, so I give a lot of importance to these values and I treat other people with kindness and courtesy, expecting to be treated in the same way.
Adicionalmente me considero una persona cariñosa, generosa, respetuosa y solidaria. Esas son algunas de las cualidades que me hacen ser la persona que soy hoy en día, y las que me hacen sentir orgullosa y aceptarme a mí misma a pesar de mis defectos. Por eso este día de San Valentín he elegido mirarme al espejo para admirarme a mí misma, darme un fuerte abrazo y decirme con voz suave que a pesar de todos los obstáculos soy yo quien elijo mi propio destino.
Additionally, I consider myself a loving, generous, respectful and supportive person. Those are some of the qualities that make me the person I am today, and the ones that make me feel proud and accept myself despite my flaws. That is why this Valentine's Day I have chosen to look at myself in the mirror to admire myself, give myself a big hug and tell myself with a soft voice that despite all the obstacles I am the one who chooses my own destiny.
Decido regalarme mi mejor sonrisa y elevo hasta el cielo mi autoestima para aceptar la persona que soy y tomar las riendas de mi destino para trazar el rumbo hacia la felicidad. Dejando atrás todo aquello que me resta, todo lo que representa una carga en mi vida para poder avanzar y continuar mi camino hasta alcanzar mi bienestar personal.
I decide to give myself my best smile and raise my self-esteem to the sky to accept the person I am and take the reins of my destiny to chart the course to happiness. Leaving behind everything that detracts me, everything that represents a burden in my life in order to move forward and continue on my way to reach my personal well-being.
Mi recomendación como siempre para todos mis fieles amigos de esta comunidad es que aprendan a amarse y a aceptarse a sí mismo, nada ganamos con juzgarnos fuertemente. Aceptemos todos nuestros defectos, valoremos nuestras virtudes y enfoquémonos en mejorar cada día de nuestras vida.
My recommendation as always to all my faithful friends of this community is to learn to love and accept yourself, we gain nothing by judging ourselves strongly. Let's accept all our flaws, value our virtues and focus on improving every day of our lives.
Recuerden que en la medida en que aprendamos amarnos a nosotros mismos vamos a poder amar y respetar a las personas que están en nuestro entorno. El amor es el sentimiento más puro que puede existir pero debe partir desde el amor propio, amate a ti mismo primero para que puedas amar a toda tu familia, a tu pareja, tus hijos, amigos y todos aquellos que forman parte de tu entorno.
Remember that to the extent that we learn to love ourselves we will be able to love and respect the people around us.
