Having my me-time

    Taking time for yourself, or "me-time," is super important for your overall well-being. It's like giving yourself a little break to recharge and feel good. Imagine your phone needing to be charged to work properly; well, you need some "me-time" to recharge your batteries too!

    When you have some "me-time," you're giving your body and mind a chance to relax and unwind. This helps to reduce stress and makes you feel happier. Just like when you take a break from playing a game or doing homework, taking time for yourself gives your brain a chance to rest.

    I really enjoy my me-time because after all the stress of the day I get to have my me-time.

    One of my favorite things to do is just rest. At this point I know that I am doing absolutely nothing, just lie down, close my eyes and enjoy the moment.

    Another way I have my me-time is by reading. I just pick a book, magazine or even read articles online. Reading does not only entertain me but it also helps me to learn new things.

    How do I include it in my schedule?

    Having my me-time is a bit difficult as a teacher but I always manage to squeeze it in no matter what. Aside from the usual break time we have in school, I take out 15 minutes to rest and also instruct my children to do so. In doing this they will feel refreshed and their brain will be relaxed and open to learn more things, instead of teaching from morning till 3pm when the children are exhausted.

    I know that me-time is very important especially for my health, so I never skip it because I know I deserve it.
