SMAP contest 159

Hello, greetings to bird lovers around the world, and I hope you have a nice weekend. Sometimes we humans like to be alone, and I've noticed that some creatures also enjoy their solitude, even when they are in a group. I often wonder if they have emotions or thinking capacity. To better understand, I wish I could be one of them for a moment. Today, the host of contest 159, @nelinoeva, has initiated a challenge to capture the essence of a lone bird. I have selected a few images from my archive, and I would like to express my gratitude to the sponsors and creators of this contest.

    Young painted stork. (Mycteria leucocephala)

It was a big group of painted storks around, but this one had sat alone on the bank of the river.

Asian openbill stork (Anastomus oscitans) Young.

Asian openbill stork (Anastomus oscitans) adult.

    Happy cormorant.
