Lately I've been experimenting with Facebook's new Meta AI. Specifically there's a feature called imagine. While using the messenger I found that if I type imagine. I'm given to option to suggest a image. So for example when I typed into the messenger imagine dancing ducks. The messenger AI created this image in response.
Honestly that feature alone is entertaining. However I also discovered that the imagine prompt can also be used to alter images. So I decided to take this picture of one of my feline companions inside his favorite box, and ask the AI to change the box into something more appropriate. This time opened the Mera AI chat and sent the ai this picture with the prompt "imagine change the box into an armored box."
In response Meta AI created this image for me.
I did have to do some experimenting with my choice of words. When I asked the AI to place him in an armored tank. This was the resulting image.
In another experiment I wanted to change the color of my car. So I sent an image, and asked the AI to change the color of the car to purple.
At the same time why not try a different background. So sent the new image back to the AI and included the prompt imagine country side. This was the resulting image.
It was a lot fun experimenting with different commands, and seeing what was possible. Sometimes it took several different attempts before I could convey what I was attempting to create.
I even tried experimenting with one of the local pizza shops signs. While waiting for an order I stepped outside and took a picture of their sign.
Then as I waited for the order to finish I experimented with different prompts. The end result was pretty cool. I showed the owner and he asked me to send the imagine to him. After which he added it to his Instagram.
Overall It's a pretty useful tool, and it's very user friendly.
