Greetings!
One thing about life is it unpredictability. This means that life cannot be predicted and no matter what you wish, it's only God and fate that can help you actualize it. Like I said earlier, what you dream to become is not what you are now. That's the unpredictability of life, I'm talking about here. For every young child, there dream is to become something great in life, most especially when talking about some lucrative professions such as doctor, lawyer, engineer and so on, but along the line. This their dream may not come into fruition.
Hmmm, the same thing happened to me when I was a kid, when I was growing up in my local community, my love to becoming a military man can't be overemphasized. This is because in love everything about the military. There camouflage is what I cherished most, plus the military shoe, couple with the power and authority given to them. All these really endeared me to in one day be like them or even join then. But as the days were going by, when when the reality of life set in, I realized I couldn't become what I'd really wanted to become. Maybe because of the environment I belonged to, or my loss of interest.
So, after I realized that the passion to becoming a soldier has got down my heart, I chose to become a lawyer which I passionately pursue, most especially in the early days of my writing entrance examination into the university. Which in my country is known as JAMB OR UTME. So, whenever I was asked to pick a course of study then, I used to pick law, but would not be given the law course. So, in my subsequent application of what course to study in the university, I decided to go for another course which is English Language, but all to no avail, the story was still the same. I was on these for almost four years, but nothing took place. So, it was one of my visit to the school that I met a lecturer who advised me to go for an educational course. When he told me this, I was at first reluctant, but later, I changed my mind and did as the man advised. Hmmm, following the man's advice was like a magic as I was admitted to study Education and English Language after four years.
Though, I was not happy to studying the course, but what can I do? After many trials. So, I started the course but was not enjoying it at the start, what now happened? What happened was that the following year, I still applied to study law but the same story and by that time, time was not really on my side. So, I decided to resign to fate and continue with my educational course which I now enjoyed and love with passion.
Hmmm, but that was never the end of the joy. When I graduated after four years being spent in the school, I graduated and left the campus for the favour market, but after many years of not getting job, I landed a teaching job at a public school in Ibadan. Although I love teaching, but I didn't know that was not my final destination.
Later, when I realized that can't take me to the next level of my life, I venture into the supply business which I now do diligently with all my heart. Someone who wants to become a military personnel is now a teacher plus being a building material supplier. In my sojourn in supplying, there were time when things were not going well, but I pushed on and now, the rest is history as I now make fortune from doing the business.
As if that was not enough, I also have a stint in livestock farming, where I engaged myself in doing piggery. Though, it was not easy ab initio, but with steadfastness and consistency, I weathered the storm and I'm now a successful livestock farmer.
No wonder there's a popular saying which says, the water a man will drink will not run pass him. Indeed, faith and destiny are the great determinants of one's journey in life, but in the process, make your life count and be consistent with what you are doing. With steadfastness and perseverance. You will get to your destination.
This is the journey so far.
