Greetings to all the art creators of @sketchbook! Today, I bring you my first publication in this community which is a portrait I did in a course called "Colorful Pets in Watercolor", style in which I want to specialize.

I will start by telling you that in the portrait I did during the course, I did not apply the techniques correctly, obviously I was not happy with the result, so I did the portrait a second time with much more patience, taking care of every detail and watching again, the class of the course that the teacher left recorded. The images of the process that I share with you are from when I drew and painted it for the second time.

Also, I tell you that this is the first time I do a course related to painting. Since I met watercolor I fell in love with this art so I am discovering new talents in me and the little I know, I have learned by watching videos and practicing on my own for many hours, I am what they call amateur. Returning to the subject, I decided that it was time to get serious about this and learn techniques to help me improve and grow in this world of colors that I am so passionate about. For this reason, I share with you a little of how was my creation process in this course.

First of all, I remind you that I am learning and I still have a lot of details to improve, although it is well known that art is not about perfection, but about giving free rein to our imagination and feeling free in each brushstroke.

The course lasted seven and a half hours that were distributed in 3 days. We had an introductory class where we learned about the chromatic circle, which I found fascinating. We also learned about color value: high, medium and low. In addition, we worked on the techniques of wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on dry.

On the other hand, I loved the method of sketching using a grid, where every little square is a small canvas . For me this was perfect, as I am just learning how to draw.

After I made my sketch of the model we were going to paint, which was a dog, we spent the next two days painting it.

¡Saludos a todos los creadores de arte de @sketchbook! El día de hoy, les traigo mi primera publicación en esta comunidad que es un retrato que hice en un curso llamado "Mascotas Colorida en Acuarela", estilo en el que quiero especializarme.

Empezaré diciéndoles que en el retrato que hice durante el curso, no apliqué correctamente las técnicas, obviamente no quedé contenta con el resultado, por lo tanto hice el retrato por segunda vez con mucha más paciencia, cuidando cada detalle y viendo de nuevo, la clase del curso que la profesora dejó grabada. Las imágenes del proceso que les comparto, son de cuando lo dibujé y pinté por segunda vez.

Asimismo, les cuento que es la primera vez que hago un curso relacionado con la pintura. Desde que conocí la acuarela me quedé enamorada de este arte, pues ando en descubrir nuevos talentos en mí y lo poco que sé, lo he aprendido viendo videos y practicando por mi cuenta durante muchas horas, soy lo que llaman aficionada. Retomando el tema, decidí que ya era momento de ponerme seria con esto y aprender técnicas que me ayuden a mejorar y a crecer en este mundo de colores que me apasiona tanto. Por tal motivo, les comparto un poco de cómo fue mi proceso de creación en este curso.

De ante mano, les recuerdo que estoy aprendiendo y que todavía tengo muchísimos detalles por mejorar, aunque es bien sabido que el arte no se trata de la perfección, sino de dar rienda suelta a nuestra imaginación y sentirnos libre en cada pincelada.

El curso duró 7 horas y media que se distribuyeron en 3 días. Tuvimos una clase introductoria donde aprendimos sobre el círculo cromático, lo que me pareció un tema fascinante. También aprendimos sobre el valor en el color: alto, medio y bajo. Además, trabajamos las técnicas de húmedo sobre húmedo, húmedo sobre seco, seco sobre seco.

Por otro lado, amé el método de hacer bocetos mediante una cuadrícula donde cada cuadrito es un pequeño lienzo. Para mí esto fue perfecto, pues apenas estoy aprendiendo a dibujar.

Después que hice mi boceto del modelo que íbamos a pintar que fue un perro, los dos siguientes días los dedicamos a pintarlo.
