Lindo y bendecido día tengan todos los que me leen. Hace un tiempo desempolvé el libro de Corte y Costura de mi madre, a pesar de estar en buen estado se observa como el paso del tiempo ha dañado su cubierta.
Aunque desde pequeña aprendí a coser, gracias a mi mamá, no sabía tomar medidas del cuerpo humano y confeccionar el molde, en papel, de una ropa. Tengo que admitir que soy fanática de la moda, no porque me guste vestirla, pues tengo mi forma muy peculiar de vestir, sino porque me gusta admirarla. Veo en los diseños de los grandes maestros de la costura verdaderas obras de arte. Por eso decidí iniciarme en ese mundo de forma autodidacta. Siempre en compañía del libro y su juego de plantillas.
La plantilla más pequeña se utiliza para hacer moldes de papel en miniatura. La plantilla mediana se emplea para confeccionar ropa para niños y la grande para diseñar los moldes de los adultos. Pero todas las prendas de ropa comienzan con la menor de las tres plantillas. Por eso decidí dar mis primeros pasos en papel.
Comencé con prendas básicas de blusas, cuellos y mangas, pero mientras más moldes realizaba mi curiosidad me incitaba a hacer diseños más atrevidos. Comencé a explorar la web y descubrí infinidad de moldes que siempre llevaba al papel.
Así encontré la técnica Origami, arte ancestral chino llevado a su máxima expresión por los japoneses e introducida en la moda por las grandes casas de diseño de la Alta Costura.
Entender los moldes origamis fue todo un reto. Me parecía que estaba intentando armar el Cubo Rubik. Después de mucho esfuerzo y la muerte de varias neuronas 😂😂😂 logré que mi pobre cerebro entendiera y logrará realizar el molde.
Le confeccioné un short a mi hija y para complicarla un poquito le añadí 2 colores diferentes de tela. Por suerte el resultado final fue el esperado.
De todo esto aprendí que solo tu puedes ponerte los límites y cuando algo realmente te gusta, esfuérzate, porque aunque te equivoques mil veces, si le pones deseos a lo que haces siempre lo lograrás.

Although I learned to sew from a young age, thanks to my mother, I did not know how to take measurements of the human body and make the mold, on paper, of a garment. I have to admit that I am a fan of fashion, not because I like to dress it, because I have my own peculiar way of dressing, but because I like to admire it. I see in the designs of the great masters of sewing true works of art. That's why I decided to start in that world in a self-taught way. Always in the company of the book and its set of templates. The smallest template is used to make miniature paper molds. The medium template is used to make children's clothes and the large one is used to design the molds for adults. But all clothing items start with the smallest of the three templates. That's why I decided to take my first steps on paper. I started with basic garments of blouses, collars and sleeves, but the more molds I made my curiosity It encouraged them to make more daring designs. I started exploring the web and discovered an infinite number of molds that I always took to paper. That's how I found the Origami technique, an ancient Chinese art taken to its maximum expression by the Japanese and introduced into fashion by the great design houses of Haute Couture.
Understanding origami molds was a challenge. It felt like I was trying to put together the Rubik's Cube. After a lot of effort and the death of several neurons 😂😂😂, I managed to make my poor brain understand and will be able to make the mold. I made a pair of shorts for my daughter and to complicate it a little bit I added 2 different colors of fabric. Luckily, the final result was as expected.
From all this I learned that only you can set limits and when you really like something, make an effort, because even though you don't want it, you can do it. No matter how wrong you are a thousand times, if you put desires into what you do, you will always achieve it.
