Los Ángeles Celestiales (The Heavenly Angels) from Larrios Street in Malaga are amazing!
That would be the quickest and most honest answer to the question of how I liked them if someone asked me. Of course, it will not stay just on this short statement, they deserve to be shown too!

Today is January 6, the day when the Three Kings are celebrated in Spain. Everything is closed; everyone celebrates this day with family, in joy or just having a calm day. No work, no hurry on the streets. Also, this is the last day of Christmas lights in the streets for the majority of the cities. If we wanted to see some spectacular decorations or witness a show of lights and music... unfortunately, we might be late by now. My visit to the city of Malaga also happened almost late, but luckily I got to see the angels! Those singing ones, in Larrios Street that I have seen just through some photos here on Hive.

We wanted to travel somewhere anyway. The plans were Portugal but we ran out of time and then the plane tickets got much more expensive than the first time we checked. So we decided our trip would happen by car. Not too far, and not too close. No, we don't want the cold, let's go to a sunny place.

My husband suggested Malaga and I approved the destination without thinking twice. We found accommodation and there we were, in the heart of that vibrant city, during the day illuminated by the sun and its reflection on the sea and in the evening magic happens with the lights on the streets. Yes, Larrios Street had to be visited too, I was sure about it.

At first, we just walked through it like through many other streets there in the historical centre. There were incredibly many people everywhere! We watched one children's show hahaha, video mapping on the tower of the cathedral, then continued the stroll and searched for a place to have dinner... When we walked out of the restaurant and headed toward the bus stop to catch a bus we heard music from Larrios Street. It was the music the angels sang and you can see and hear it too if you wish. You are just one click on the play button away from seeing it too. :D

I think there were hundreds and hundreds of people and children watching the light show. And we too. I stood there and wished it would never end. The music and the lights that were programmed to go with the music had a strong impact on me, as well as the rest of the audience, I am sure. I felt this wonderful feeling of joy and happiness in my chest from the excitement; I felt lucky to be there, right at that moment, even though it was not planned (to watch to show).

It turns out these shows are displayed three times per day, we caught one of them, by chance. And how happy I was (I still am) that it happened. :)

Everything ends, this festive season too... the angles will be taken down I guess and sleep for almost one year. However, when I want to see again this amazing play of lights I can peek at my video at any moment. ✨

I hope you also felt joy while seeing them. The beginning of the video was made when I walked through the street for the first time, and 25 seconds later (if you want to skip the beginning) the light show with music starts. 🎶
