It's been awhile since I posted surrealist art, mostly because I think I tend to be a perfectionist in this genre.
I have always loved this beautiful form of expression, I studied the work of the classics like Dali and Magritte.
I think the poetry of their work is out of this world and it has a lot of influence specially in the work that I'm sharing today.
All over the internet this past few months I read the fanous expression "I'M COOKED", im cooked, and stuff like that, to the point that it has become a meme, and I found it very funny, when I hear I imagine the inside of the head completily fried, just because it's a part of the internet brainrot culture slang.
Here is a definition more "accurate" of the term:
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=im%20cooked
So, that inspired me to draw again and make a digital painting, taking this expression LITERALLY, and I made a portrait of a character with the head cooking some eggs in a frying pan.
Process
It was very tricky at first, since I wanted something realistic because the more serious the funnier it was gonna end imo
So I made a regular head, very basic and I had some references because the frying pan was like the main thing on the painting and I made a collage, with the reference
But it was not fiting the aesthetic, because it was too realistic so I modified the pan with the eggs to make it more cartoonish, then I painted the person and finally I framed it.
I wanted to frame it because the more serious the funnier it would be, so I made a search of a png of a frame and I found this site with a lot of options:

So finally I ended the digital painting very happy because I wanted to get back on surrealism for a long time, I used for this project the app Autodesk sketchbook like the good old days, and I used also the classic windows paint just a little bit.
It was so good to be back to drawing, finally the starts have aligned!
This was a nice project it took me a couple of hours and I can finally say that I'm very pleased with the result!
