Hey, Hivers! Happy Friday! A new mall just opened in our area- the SM J Mall. This Japanese inspired mall is located in Mandaue City, Cebu, just a few minutes away from my place.
Despite the very convenient location, i've only visited this mall twice (see:I just found a new bookstore haven). This was an old mall, named J Mall, that's been bought by the largest conglomerate here in the Philippines, and is now called as SM J Mall. They retained the old name to take advantage of people's familiarity and so as not to confuse mall goers with their other mall- SM Cebu, located a few meters away too.
Since its a new mall, people are curious what stores are inside the mall so every time i passed this area, its always crowded. Honestly, The new SM J-Mall isn't really that unique as they're affiliated stores can also be found in other malls. But the design of the mall is jaw dropping. For those areas that are still under construction, they covered the walls with Japanese prints which look so real. There are anime pictures too.
One of the famous anime show, Naruto, is displayed here too. How cute is that? Though im not that much familiar with the characters.
I also noticed that the mall have low ceiling since this area was once the parking lot of the old mall.
Here's me and my friend's pic hanging out in the mall.
For some reason, this mall has a vibe of ease and comfort. A place where i can just chill and walk around whenever im having a bad day or just simply wanting to get some fresh air. There are many cute items everywhere too, which is so tempting.
This is surely not the last time i'll visit this mall. So check out my future posts to see more about this very cutesy mall!
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
