    I'm back with a new homemade recipe. Hope everyone is healthy and well.
    This time, I'll share my cooking recipe of April Plum Pickles.

    I am going to share with you the recipe of one of my very favorite food item. It is a tempting and delicious dish.

    The main ingredient in the recipe is April plums. But here it is popularly known as "amra fruit". It is a native sour fruit. This fruit is available in different places in our country. Usually these fruits are available during monsoon. Here we can make many types of recipes with these fruits. Anyway, I made a wonderful and delicious pickle with these fruits. Moreover, this native fruit with sour sweet taste is full of vitamins. It has many benefits. It can be cooked as well as eaten raw. Today, I'll let you know the easy recipe for making April Plum Pickles.

    Ingredients & Steps to follow:

    • April Plum
    • Mustard
    • Turmeric powder
    • Chili powder
    • Salt
    • Garlic
    • Red dry chilies
    • Sugar
    • Green chilies
    • Mustard oil

    The process to follow:

    First I washed the April plum well. Then I cut their shells with a cutter machine. In this way, I cut all the plum shells very well. Then I kept them in a bowl and soaked them with water. If soaked for some time like this, the excess sourness of plum will be reduced.

    After 5 minutes, I separated the April plums from the water. Then I used a kitchen tissue to wipe the excess water from them. Then I cut them into small pieces. April plums has strong shells, so be careful when cutting them.

    At this stage, I added turmeric powder, chili powder and salt to the April plums. I mixed all these ingredients very well. This time, I took care that after mixing them, no extra water comes out.

    Then I kept all the mixed ingredients in two separate bowls. Then I put them in the sun for 1 day. I dried them thoroughly in the sun and then started cooking them so the pickles lasts for a long time.

    In this step, I started processing the main ingredients to make this pickle. Here I added mustard and green chilies. Then I mashed them very well.

    I added some garlic and little water. Then I mixed them well with all the spices and mashed them. I took care to mix the mustard seeds very well. At this time, a great smell came out.

    In this step, I will show the process of making some more spices. Here I took some red dry chilies and different kinds of whole spices that we mention as "Panch Foron". Then I put a pan on the stove and put all the spices in it. I fried these spices well for some time.

    After frying the spices, a great aroma came out. Then I cooled them for some time and put them in a blender. I crushed all these ingredients very well. It took about 2 minutes to do this.

    In this stage, I will show the process of cooking pickles. At the beginning I put a pan on the stove. Then I put some mustard oil there. After heating the oil, I added some crashed garlic. I fried the oil and garlic for some time.

    Then I added April plums to the spices. I mixed all these ingredients very well and fried them in oil for some time. Then I added mustard and chili paste to them and cooked for some time.

    This time, after the April plums became a little soft, I added some sugar to them. Then I mixed them all together and fried them for some time.     After 5 minutes, I added spice powder to it. Then I mixed the spices well with them. Adding the spices in this step gives a very good smell of pickles. Then I mixed it with salt to taste.

    By this time pickles were almost cooked. Then I added 1 cup of vinegar to them. I use this vinegar when making any pickles. Because pickles stay good for a long time having vinegar. Anyway, I mixed the pickles with vinegar very well and cooked it for about 10 more minutes.

    Then I served the pickles in a beautiful bowl. It looked so yummy. So finally my pickle was completely ready. It really tastes great to eat.
