Olivo, Tabuelan, Cebu Beach: A Quick Dip at the Sea!🌊🐚🌴

Hello dear Hivers, how are you? I hope you are all doing well. For today's "blogserye" (blog series), I will be featuring our new year outing at Olivo Public Beach, located at Olivo, Tabuelan, Cebu. Come and join me as I share here with you the beauty of Olivo beach and how our outing turned out.

    🌊Olivo, Tabuelan, Cebu Beach

After the New Year's Eve celebration, my mother and my aunt decided to have a quick dip at the beach. Immediately after breakfast, we then prepared our swimming attire and suits for the swimming, and of course we also prepared our food for lunch. All of my family and my auntie's family went together via private vehicle. At first, I suggested that we would be having our outing at Maravilla Beach, also in Tabuelan, Cebu, but my mother said that, "It's a holiday; we will hardly find a spot at Maravilla since it is a famous destination during holiday season." That's why we've decided to go to Olivo public beach, still in Tabuelan, just a few kilometers from Maravilla.

    🐚What to expect?

Upon arrival, we did not expect that it was also crowded despite it being a not-so-well-known beach, but during regular days you can enjoy the serene and quiet atmosphere of the place. Anyway, we still proceed with the venue; we found a perfect spot near the rock formations along the shore. Just like Maravilla, Olivo Beach is also a white sand beach, with crystal clear water that will surely splash and refresh your body. Olivo Beach is just along the national road; its unbothered beauty makes it perfect for people who seek a serene and quiet place to reconnect with nature along the beach.

You will not see any cottages there; if you want to have a picnic, then you have to bring your own tent or something to put your things and food on. There's no entrance fee, and it's free for public use. It's a perfect spot if you are looking for an affordable vacation; all you have to bring are just food, a tent, and, of course, extra money for transportation and gas.

    πŸš–How to get there?

What are you waiting for? The Olivo public beach is just waiting for your visit. If you are from Cebu City, from the Cebu north bus terminal, you have to choose a yellow bus or an ordinary bus going to Tabuelan. Remember to pick a bus with a route going to Maravilla; you can just ask the bus attendant to drop you at Olivo Beach. For a more enjoyable experience, plan your visit ahead of time, bring your family and friends, and enjoy the waters of Olivo.

It was exactly 12 in the afternoon when we arrived at the beach; it was flooded with a crowd, and that's why we chose a spot where there were minimal beach goers. My mother then told us to find some sea urchin for us to eat, but unfortunately I didn't find one. Luckily, my cousin found one, and my brother found two sea cucumbers. My sister and my other cousin look for some shells to give to our grandmother. My grandmother wasn't able to go with us because of back pain; that's why she just told us, her grandchildren, to look for seashells as she will have a stew out of it. It was my grandmother's favorite; that's why we look for more shells for her.

    🌳Beautiful Mangrove Trees

The view of the beach alongside its green trees and mangroves is just perfect for nature lovers. I wish you could also see the natural beauty of Olivo Beach before it will be develop into a commercial beach. I can't help but capture some shots from the beach, it was indeed a place worthy of preserving. Enjoy and be mesmerized by the lush greenery of nature and the stunning view of the beach only at Olivo.

After having some time swimming, we then ate our lunch with the extra food left from the New Year's Eve. Our outing was indeed fun and memorable as I was with the people I love the most; moments passed after roughly two hours, and we then got dressed and headed back home. Literally just a quick dip, as I will be returning to the city for work, a reality most of us don't want, but we don't have a choice; we have to work to provide for ourselves and family. It's just fun having beach time with family despite the busy workdays.
