Una de las cosas que más me gusta hacer con mi empresa de turismo es ir a descubrir nuevos destinos para ofrecerle a nuestros clientes. El día de hoy fui a una cascada paradisiaca que queda en Caracas. Fuimos súper temprano y eso es horrible porque yo suelo acostarme tarde y pararme tarde. De manera que madrugar para mí es algo súper irregular pero bueno nada si toca hay que hacerlo. Agarré el metro y llegamos al lugar donde teníamos que agarrar el transporte para llegar a nuestro destino. Agarramos una camionetica y comenzamos nuestro viaje.
One of the things I like to do the most with my tourism company is to discover new destinations to offer our customers. Today I went to a paradisiac cascade that remains in Caracas. We were super early and that is horrible because I usually go to bed late and stop late. So getting up early for me is something super irregular but well nothing if you have to do it. I grabbed the subway and we arrived at the place where we had to grab the transport to reach our destination. We grab a truck and start our trip.
Pasamos por varios sitios interesantes aunque ninguno era bonito. Uno de los lugares más llamativos era el gran basurero sobre el cual podíamos ver una cantidad ridícula de buitres volando. Demás está decir que olía horrible pero bueno es algo que pasa bastante rápido y pues ignorarlo si tienes algo de fuerza de voluntad. Al llegar al sitio tuvimos que negociar nuestra entrada ya que es propiedad privada. Con esto quiero decir que no es un lugar como el Ávila en Caracas que cualquier persona puede entrar en cualquier momento cuando quiera gratis como sea. Aquí tienes que conocer a la gente y como todo lo bueno tiene un precio.
We went through several interesting sites although none was pretty. One of the most striking places was the great garbage dump on which we could see a ridiculous amount of vultures flying. It is said that it smelled horrible but good is something that happens quite fast and you can ignore it if you have some willpower. Upon arriving at the site we had to negotiate our entrance since it is private property. By this I mean that it is not a place like Ávila in Caracas that anyone can enter at any time when they want free. Here you have to meet people and as everything good has a price.
Una vez adentro de este lugar es súper sencillo llegar a las cascadas. Pasamos por al lado de unos sembradíos y unas gallinas. Supongo que estas personas cosechan. Creo que son como auto sustentables capaz las gallinas las tienen ahí para hacer huevos y caldos. Justo entrando hay una cascada y tuvieron que haber estado ahí para disfrutar el verdadero color de esa agua. La foto se ve bien sin embargo nada como darte un chapuzón en el momento. Pero no nos metimos ahí ya que ese primer pozo es solo la entrada del lugar. Puedes seguir subiendo la montaña para llegar a otro pozo que queda un poco más arriba. Incluso hay un momento en el que tienes que subir por una cuerda y es peligroso pero si tienes cuidado no debería pasar nada. Subiendo la cuerda un perro que venía junto a nosotros desde que comenzamos el ascenso, empujó a Gustavo que estaba sentado e intentaba tomar una foto desde arriba. El perro suyo sin la cuerda y lo hizo súper rápido y le pasó por al lado Gustavo y él no se estaba agarrando de nada y pegó un grito creo yo que se iba a caer. Y yo que estaba subiendo por la cuerda pensé que se me iba a caer encima y nos íbamos a caer los dos y nos íbamos a morir. Pero no pasó nada aquí estoy contando la historia todo salió bien. Bueno, luego de todos los obstáculos la recompensa es una gran caída de agua con un pozo bastante profundo en el que puedes nadar. Y claro de nuevo, el color y la temperatura del agua son de ensueño. La verdad creí que me iba a dar mucho frío porque no hacía tanto Sol en ese momento pero una vez que te bañas te aclimatas y si traes ropa como un suéter o algo así para abrigarte luego del baño estás hecho.
Once inside this place it is super simple to reach the waterfalls. We pass along with some plants and chickens. I guess these people harvest. I think they are as a sustainable self -sustainable chickens they have them there to make eggs and broths. Just entering there is a waterfall and they had to have been there to enjoy the real color of that water. The photo looks good however nothing like giving you a dip at the time. But we did not get there since that first well is just the entrance of the place. You can keep up the mountain to get to another well that is a little higher. There is even a time when you have to climb a rope and it is dangerous but if you are careful, nothing should happen. Uploading the rope a dog that came with us since we started the ascent, pushed Gustavo who was sitting and tried to take a photo from above. His dog without the rope and did it super fast and passed by Gustavo and he was not grabbing anything and hit a shout I think he was going to fall. And I was climbing the rope I thought I was going to fall on me and we were going to fall both and we were going to die. But nothing happened here I am telling the story everything went well. Well, after all obstacles the reward is a great water drop with a fairly deep well in which you can swim. And of course, the color and temperature of the water are dreamy. The truth I thought I was going to be very cold because it was not so much sun at that time but once you bathe acclimatas you and if you bring clothes like a sweater or something like that to warm you after the bath you are made.
Aprovechamos para tomar un montón de fotos incluso grabamos videos. Un momento súper gracioso en el que Gustavo y su amigo querían pasar como al otro lado del pozo para lanzarse de clavado y grabar desde la orilla en la que yo estaba parado. Y fue súper cómico que yo los veo pasando y el amigo de Gustavo va como asustado porque no sabe dónde poner los pies y entonces agarró a Gustavo con las dos manos y él perdió el equilibrio y los dos casi se caen pero lo más gracioso de todo era como la interacción entre ellos. Porque uno decía como que "no no me agarres así porque nos vamos a caer" y el otro decía "pero me tengo que agarrar porque me voy a caer" y el otro le decía "pero nos vamos a caer los dos entonces". Fue un buen momento. Luego que los cuatro habíamos descansado (sí, digo los cuatro porque el perro a quien para ese momento habíamos llamado Firulais seguía con nosotros) ya era el momento de dejarlo hacia atrás y regresar a la ciudad. Cuando veníamos de regreso nos encontramos a una pareja en el pozo que está justo al lado de la entrada. Son las primeras personas aparte de mi grupo de viaje que he visto en ese lugar las veces que he ido. Así que puedo intuir que no es un lugar demasiado concurrido y eso hace que sea un poco más especial el ir para allá porque vas a tener un poco más de privacidad. En cambio en el Ávila puedes ir a cualquier sitio en casi cualquier momento y siempre va a haber un montón de gente. Porque ya todo el mundo conoce la existencia del lugar ya todo el mundo sabe cómo llegar ya todo el mundo ha ido ahí millones de veces etcétera.
We take the opportunity to take a lot of photos and even record videos. A super funny moment in which Gustavo and his friend wanted to spend like on the other side of the well to throw themselves and record from the shore on which I was standing. And it was super comic that I see them passing and Gustavo's friend goes as scared because he does not know where to put his feet and then grabbed Gustavo with both hands and he lost his balance and the two almost fall out but the funniest thing about everything It was like the interaction between them. Because one said like "don't catch me like this because we're going to fall" and the other said "but I have to grab because I'm going to fall" and the other said "but we are going to fall both then." It was a good moment. After the four we had rested (yes, I say the four because the dog to whom we had called Firulais continued with us) it was time to leave him back and return to the city. When we came back we met a couple in the well that is right next to the entrance. They are the first people apart from my travel group that I have seen in that place the times I have gone. So I can intuit that it is not a crowded place and that makes it a little more special to go there because you are going to have a little more privacy. Instead in Ávila you can go anywhere at almost any time and there will always be a lot of people. Because everyone already knows the existence of the place. Everyone already knows how to get there. Everyone has already gone there millions of times.
Fue una súper coincidencia que el encargado del lugar casualmente también iba saliendo y nos dio la cola en su camioneta. El viaje en la camioneta estuvo chévere y definitivamente fue mejor que irnos caminando o esperar algun bus cerca. La verdad en ningún momento vimos ningún bus pasando por ahí mientras íbamos de regreso así que quién sabe capaz todavía estuviéramos ahí esperando.
It was a super coincidence that the person in charge of the place was also coming out and gave us the tail in his truck. The trip in the truck was Chevere and it was definitely better than going walking or waiting for some bus. The truth at no time saw any bus passing by while we were going back so who knows we were still waiting there.
Es un lugar súper bonito y no es tan difícil caminar dentro de él para accesar a todos los pozos en los que te puedes bañar. Una última cosa que vale la pena decir acerca de este lugar es que si vienes con nosotros o si por casualidad de la vida lo vas a visitar por tu cuenta es necesario que lleves una camisa manga larga y un mono que te cubra todas las piernas porque si te descuidas hay plaga y te pueden picar. El amigo de Gustavo terminó con las piernas todas picadas porque se descuidó y estuvo todo el viaje de vuelta rascándose. A mí no me pasó nada porque yo estaba claro y me llevé una camisa manga larga y aparte tenía un mono así que estuve bien. Y olvídese de esas lociones como el off porque aquí no hay zancudos hay otra cosa. Creo que son gegenes. Si me preguntan no estoy seguro de cómo escribir esa palabra porque creo que es como folclor el llamarlos de esa forma pero son pequeños insectos que como los zancudos te pican pero no funcionan igual que los zancudos de manera que no los puedes espantar con el mismo repelente de zancudos así que bueno pendientes.
One last thing that is worth saying about this place is that if you come with us or if by chance of life you will visit it on your own it is necessary that you wear a long sleeve shirt and a monkey that covers you all your legs because If you neglect there are plague and they can chop you. Gustavo's friend ended with his legs all chopped because he neglected and all the return trip was scratching. Nothing happened to me because I was clear and I took a long sleeve shirt and apart I had a monkey so I was fine. And forget about those lotions like off because there are no mosquitoes here there is something else. I think they are gegenes. If they ask me I am not sure how to write that word because I think it is like folklore to call them in that way but they are small insects that like the mosquitoes bite you but do not work the same as the mosquitoes so that you cannot frighten them with the same repellent of mosquitoes so watch out.
