Angel of Light — Social Voilk

Esta semana quise hacer un dibujo estilo retrato para el concurso de @Splinterlands , fue bastante complicado encontrar inspiración por estos días tan caóticos que he tenido, sin embargo, logre hacer justo la idea que tenia en mente, esta vez quise recrear a Angel of light recostada sobre las nubes con sus enormes alas mostrándose por la parte derecha, quise hacer un dibujo a un estilo “desordenado” dando pinceladas fuertes y sin mucha precisión ya que quería ese efecto de pintura, realmente fue agotador y por un momento no confié en el proceso jaja tuve una especie de bloqueo artístico a mitad del dibujo, por suerte todo salió bien espero que les guste.

This week I wanted to do a portrait style drawing for the @Splinterlands contest, it was quite complicated to find inspiration for these chaotic days I've had, however, I managed to do just the idea I had in mind, this time I wanted to recreate Angel of light lying on the clouds with her huge wings showing on the right side, I wanted to make a drawing in a “messy” style giving strong brushstrokes and without much precision since I wanted that painting effect, it was really exhausting and for a moment I didn't trust the process haha I had a kind of artistic block in the middle of the drawing, luckily everything came out well I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice mi boceto, luego escogí los colores de la piel, esta vez use tonos bastante cálidos, en una nueva capa añadí mas tonos para darle forma por completo a toda la piel, empecé a mezclar los colores usando una brocha dura y con una opacidad alta para dejas la piel con textura bastante visible y darle así ese efecto de pintura real.

I made my sketch, then I chose the colors of the skin, this time I used quite warm tones, in a new layer I added more tones to give shape to the whole skin, I started to mix the colors using a hard brush and with a high opacity to leave the skin with a quite visible texture and give it that real painting effect.

Luego pinte la ropa, la gargantilla y el cabello, use un marrón de base para el cabello y luego tonos naranjas para darle volumen y realismo, con un pincel duro empecé a pintar las nubes jugando con blancos y algunos azules, tambien quise añadir cielo en la parte del fondo, luego pinte las alas, con muchos brochazos de diferentes tonalidades beige para crear las plumas, agregue un destello de luz que ilumina el rostro y luego empecé a dibujar pequeños puntos de luz en zonas que quería resaltar del rostro, termine mi dibujo realizando una edición donde aumente un poco la saturación y contraste.

Then I painted the clothes, the choker and the hair, I used a brown base for the hair and then orange tones to give it volume and realism, with a hard brush I started to paint the clouds playing with whites and some blues, I also wanted to add sky in the background part, then I painted the wings, with many brush strokes of different shades of beige to create the feathers, I added a flash of light that illuminates the face and then I began to draw small points of light in areas that I wanted to highlight the face, I finished my drawing making an edition where I increased a little the saturation and contrast.
