Hello, my name is Lurbelis Gutiérrez, I am from Venezuela, from one of its greenest and most mountainous states, Yaracuy, and I am happily excited to participate in this contest.
I see this as a great opportunity to show you my art through this song, which I chose for its feeling and depth, a heartbroken love. The acoustic version was my choice to convey that same thing, a powerful and heartbreaking song “Cat under the rain” by Rocío Dúrcal. An interesting fact is that like me, you would believe that it was written by the Great Juan Gabriel, but in reality it was written by Rafael Pérez Botija, a Spanish composer with great classics, and his compositions have also been performed by artists such as José José, Cristian Castro, Julio Iglesias, Chayanne. It is worth remembering that Rocío Dúrcal was also Spanish but Mexican music was her strength throughout her artistic life.

Hola, mi nombre es Lurbelis Gutiérrez, soy de Venezuela, de uno de sus estados más verdes y montañosos, Yaracuy, y me encuentro felizmente emocionada de participar en este concurso.
Veo esto como una gran oportunidad para mostrarles mi arte a través de esta canción, la cual elegí por su sentimiento y profundidad, un amor desconsolado. La versión acústica fue mi elección para transmitir eso mismo, una canción poderosa y desgarradora “Gata bajo la lluvia” de Rocío Dúrcal. Un dato interesante, es que como yo, creerían que fue escrita por el Gran Juan Gabriel, pero en realidad fue escrita por Rafael Pérez Botija, compositor español con grandes clásicos, y sus composiciones también las han interpretado artistas como José José, Cristian Castro, Julio Iglesias, Chayanne. Vale recalcar que Rocío Dúrcal también era española pero la música mexicana fue su fuerte en toda su vida artística.
