Greeting to you all out there on this beautiful day, I hope you all are doing fine, just as I am doing here, I believe we all enjoyed the Easter break and celebration.

I will be sharing with you the recent transformation I made on an old outfit for my friend's mom, this outfit is a skirt and peplum blouse I made for my friend's mom a long time ago and just recently, she brought it back to me that she has kept the outfit in her wardrobe for sometimes now without wearing it, the reason was that then, she was very fat and the outfit was made with her bodice measurement, but presently, the outfit is too big for her because of her recent bodice size, so I had to make the outfit to her present bodice measurement, to make it fitted on her.

To start with, I had to rip the seam off, from the sleeves, the sides seam, the zipper and the peplum flare on the waistline.

After reaping off the seams, I sew the side seam in by 2" on the waist circumference on both sides to give me the recent waist circumference measurement.

The armhole circumference was also wide and too open, so I took in 2" as well on the armhole circumference and on the sleeves as well to fit in the armhole circumference and the round sleeve measurement.

The upper bodice was well adjusted the the peplum flare was pleated to the waist circumference of the upper bodice, because, after taking in 2" on both sides of the upper bodice, the flare became longer, so I had to pleat the flare on the upper bodice to make it fit in an fuller as well.

The skirt did not need much work to be done on it, all I did was just to sew in 1" on both sides of the side seam and that was all, it became her perfect size.

Initially, there was a band on the waistline that joined the under bust to the waist line but to make it fit perfectly, I had to completely remove the band so that the flare can start from the under bust line, which was what I did.

This is the final outcome of the skirt and blouse outfit I worked on for my friend's mom to fit in her present body shape and it was perfectly done, though it took a lot of time but I'm glad it came out nice just as she wanted it to be, now she can easily wear the outfit instead of keeping it in her wardrobe with any use for it, this is now a plus one to her outfit.
