Last week, my two friends and I visited a place that is great for refreshing the mind after a long day at work, as well as a small healing place.
Sipare Greenpark is a nature attraction in the form of a park directly on the edge of a very clear and fast-flowing stone river. Initially, this Sipare land was a community garden that had been neglected, then the local government negotiated to make it a cheap and child-friendly tourist spot, and was managed jointly by the local village youth organization as an income for village finances.
Along the road to Sipare Greenpark are rubber forests, pine forests, as well as fields and rice paddies owned by local residents. Although there is no public transportation to this tourist spot, prospective visitors can easily use their private vehicles. As for me, I used my own motorcycle to get to Sipare Greenpark.
After a thirty-minute trip, I arrived and immediately registered for a ticket for 5000 rupiah, complete with vehicle parking. Very economical, isn't it?
From the parking area, there is a bamboo bridge that connects to the gazebo area which is lined up at several points on the riverbank. The gazebo area here is very well maintained and clean and tidy. Garbage bins in the form of bamboo baskets are provided at several points so, there is no reason for visitors to litter.
Even the drains made for the disposal of water from above look very clean, I really salute the management of this place.
Some of the gardens are lined with Japanese grass. The Japanese grass is safe to step on, and it is also comfortable to sit here.
Unlike calm water where sinkholes and deep currents are a concern, the river type at Sipare is a rocky, swift-flowing river, but it is only the first grade that is safe for visitors to swim in. Even children are allowed to swim (with adult supervision of course).
The current of the river in Sipare is determined by rainfall, so, when it rains and the river evaporates, it is strictly forbidden for visitors to enter the river.
There is also a swimming tube rental for those who need it. I didn't come here to swim and just sat back and enjoyed my lunch.
It's true what people say about the river's current being soothing. The weather when I visited was not hot, so it was cool to linger here.
The terms and conditions that visitors to Sipare Greenpark must comply with include:
Visitors are required to buy an entrance ticket
Maintain cleanliness and do not litter
Prohibited from bringing liquor, and drugs
Forbidden to make noise (fight)
It is forbidden to damage plants or take plants in the Sipare Greenpark tourist park
Parking the vehicle in the place that has been provided
Visitors must be aware of bad weather and if the water discharge is high
Then, finally, the manager also reminded that if any of the rules are violated, visitors will be subject to sanctions according to applicable regulations.
Once arrived, my friend and I enjoyed the lunch we brought. We chose a gazebo that was quite spacious and started grilling the meat and chicken we brought, as well as enjoying snacks and others. Actually there are also sellers or stalls if visitors are lazy to bring lunch and lazy to bother.
If you walk to the outside, there is a direction bar that is stuck right on the edge of the highway. Here the view of the green rice fields is really soothing. Then, if you walk a little to the north, there is a beautiful bridge that used to be a railroad track. The dead railroad tracks were later used as a bridge between Karanganyar and Doro sub-districts.
