There will be a moment...to walk on the MOON

At the moment I am tripping...around Sardinia, Italy. Today it's a walk around Capo Testa, a peninsula in the North. Weather conditions are perfect, let's explore the place where most people a talking about.

    Moon Valley

A 30 minute drive from the AirBNB, my jeans changed colir after all the dogs that wanted to stick their heads between my legs. I am not surprised anymore after all the weird stuff on the Sardinian Carnaval in Bosa yesterday. I will tell more about that in a seperate post.

    Several images from todays' hike

First we planned to check out some beaches. As they weren't the nicest strips of sand, we decided to park our little Lancia a bit further on the road. Nothing prepared, just sipped half a liter of water and started walking. I wanted to climb the highest point of the peninsula. But no matter what I did, I constantly got stuck in the bush...as some of you might no, I don't like that...

We found ourselves a little hiding spot

I don't know if it was because it was Valentines Day, but this day didn't start well. My condition was still in a Winter Sleep I guess. Maybe the lack of good food. The weird dreams of last night... Yes, I am on holiday and I had weird dreams about my former office jobs. And the colleages I could not connect with. Also some strange Tinder connections appeared in my dreams. I tried to analyze the dreams, but fuck it...there is no coffee, no focus.

Back to the track. There wasn't a real trail. It was like discovering new land. Crawling through the bush and climbing hundreds of rocks. It was a perfect place for a different way of tripping...every rock could change into something alive, using your fantasy. This place is also used for full moon gatherings. Today it was pretty quiet. It felt like we were the first walking on the moon. Afterwards I discovered that the most interesting part of the area is called 'Moon Valley'. Our short stop and walk, ended up in a 5 hour hike/climb. I never made it to the top of the hill, although climbing several other peaks was worth it.

    The sunset

Being unprepared also means, not enough food. We went to the nearest town called Santa Teresa. Like most places in Sardinia this time of the year, most things are closed. We managed to find an icecream shop and I SCREAMed of hapiness. Chocolate cone filled with vanilla and pistache. Happy as a little kid. Exhausted we parked our tiny car along the beach of Rena Majori. Between a German van and a noisy German car. Behind the wheel in our car, there was also a German. The pizzeria we visited was sponsored by 'Warsteiner'. What the F@CK, am I still having these trippy dreams? After a while I realized I was in Italy...
