So starts Spring. Yesterday morning it took only a short time for the sun to come out and begin to warm the farm. I got the boys to school then got the printer going going on the first print of the day.
I had safety orange filament in and printed a few HSW parts. The center panel is one I am printing a number of in different colors since I have the borders I can print it makes some nifty looking panels in two tone.
Just because. I did it at 5% infill and 2 layers top and bottom. It doesn't have to be burly since it just hangs on the HSW.
It was time to move the tiller back up to the garden shed and I pulled the tiller out and wheeled it down to the tool shed. I need a new belt for the tiller which I will get soon.
I walked out of the garden shed to see that my garlic have started to pop. All along the rows I saw little green tops poking up through the mounds of pine needles.
Quite nice to see them starting to show.
So I grabbed the pitchfork and began removing the pine needles from the rows. I tossed the still frozen needles against the lower side fence in a long pile which exposed a lot of garlic tips.
PDC was on and I caught parts of matches as I was in and out of the house.
It took me a bit to get the needles removed and there are still a lot left that were frozen. I didn't want to hurt the garlic so I was trying to be gentle. The warm sun did wonders to melt the frozen needles and I was able to go back later and scoop more off.
The pile of the removed needles. Today I will work on them some more and remove as many as possible. I will be using a lot of the needles as ground cover to hopefully reduce the amount of weeds that grows.
Another HSW shelf.
Littler shit the bed and totally let Humphries win, he quite literally crumbled and his form went to trash.
Mid afternoon I headed up the hill to see the upper pen which hasn't changed amongst the various weather. The valley is thawed and the river is no tall that high considering the melt we had.
Printed a pair of Dummy frames to have on hand. Then printed one of the dart gliders before swapping filament.
I picked the boys up from STEM then hooked up the trailer as soon as we were home for the grain run I have done already this morning.
FINALLY!!!!! Only my 3rd 180 ever! It felt SO GOOD when that 3rd dart dropped in over the other 2 right into place! BOUT DAMNED TIME!
After dinner I was at the board again and this time the triple 12 went in first and the pair of 60s followed. A nice 156.
The blue PLA looks great and the HSW panel will be awesome when it is put together.
Got out to soak for a while but was in earlier. Sleep is so odd for me, I keep waking at 3:30 - 4 am but when I check my Garmin is shows I got 7 hours of sleep with REM periods....
I have been to town for a big load of grain already and will empty it in a while, got gas on my way home, will drop the boys off in an hour, PDC UK Open is on, will get the belt for the tiller, I need to break down cardboard, then this evening the boys get a sitter so @stryeyz and I can go out for the evening.
