Time flies! Just completed the 118th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

    • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

    • Staying In Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I decided to stick to what I fought in the last fray, which was Fray 6, which was 3/2/2/1. I felt I was starting to find my grove and this fray is neither too difficult nor too easy for me.

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

    • We Got 2nd!!!

So for the final result, we were 2nd out of 9 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 17 SPS! That's an incredible amount of SPS!!!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I managed to win 3 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild!

    Let's jump into the battles!

    Battle 1 - WIN

    Gladius Card Used: None

My opponent tried to play the Astral Entity/Riftwing combination, which was a good strategy for Poison battles given the amount of Scavenging but Forgotten One was the card that stood tall and immune to Poison. Eventually, Forgotten One outlasted all the cards on the board.

    MVP: Forgotten One

    Battle 2 - WIN

    Opponent fled! Lol!

    Battle 3 - WIN

    Gladius Card Used: Gorth

Low mana battles are always tricky, especially for 12 mana ones. With Gladius cards around, I would go for a solo Gorth over any card and this time Gorth went ahead to secure an easy win in this tricky encounter.

    MVP: Gorth

    Battle 4 - LOSE

    Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

This battle just went all wrong. Trapp Falloway would have been a star in most low mana battles but its nightmare card is Cursed Windeku. And that was what my opponent fielded. Even the Resurrect ability failed to activate for Trapp Falloway because my backline was taken out by a Sneak attack. Sometimes it's just like this, we can't win everything in brawls.

    MVP: None

    Battle 5 - LOSE

    Gladius Card Used: Relenor Cleaver

If Quora Towershead lineups are scary, this was a million times more. I thought I had fielded a strong lineup for this fight but my opponent came up with 5 Legendary cards including summoner, making full use of Weapons Training to boost cards (in fact, doubly boost). This was really an OMG battle and I couldn't even take down 1 card from the opponent.

    MVP: None

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! A 60% win rate, got to do better next round! Interesting that all my victories came from Fire lineups.
