My article today is about the ongoing event in Splinterlands called "BARON'S BOUNTY," where they released a new limited edition promo card with a halving ability. Let's revisit how this event started. The idea for the Splinterlands event began in 2000, coinciding with the Bitcoin event called Bitcoin halving. To align Splinterlands' event with the Bitcoin event, they released a limited promo card with a halving ability. This event is called the "HALVING PROMO." Here, they introduced Halfling Alchemist. Halfling Alchemist is the first card with a halving ability.
Halfling Alchemist is a single epic neutral element with a ranged attack. Because the event involves halving, he has a halving ability at level 1, and at level 4, he gains an additional ability called redemption.

Based on the picture I saw in Shenan article, you can obtain Halfling Alchemist through an airdrop by purchasing 5 untamed packs or through a random active player.
In 2024, Splinterlands has another new event for the Bitcoin halving, and it's called "BARON'S BOUNTY." Similar to the last halving event, they released another new limited edition promo card with a halving ability, namely Henchling Enforcer and Baron Fyatt. This event differs from the last one because while the previous event involved obtaining the new cards through an airdrop, in this new halving event, they can be purchased using DEC or credit. Henchling Enforcer will cost 3,125 (3.125k) DEC/Credits while Baron Fyatt will cost 31,250 (31.25k) DEC/Credits for a single (1 BCX) card. You can use a voucher to reduce the price. Per voucher will reduce 50 dec/credit with a max Voucher discount of roughly 50%. for every 25 cards purchased, one card is guaranteed to be in gold foil. If only one card is purchased, there's a 4% chance it will be in gold foil.
The event will run for 15 days, except for the limited edition promo card, you can also win in the lucky draw. For every 1 DEC spent, you will receive 1 point, and for every 10k points, you have a chance to win in the lucky draw. They will also give prizes to the top 200 with the highest points. There is an advantage for those who purchase on the first day of the event because they will give a multiplier. On the first day, there is a 3x multiplier, and this will decrease each day until it becomes 1x on the last day of the event.
