Hi everyone, I feel like it's been forever, with this latest Korean Pump (and inevitably Dump, what goes up must go down after all) I feel reminded about what a beautiful and rich ecosystem we have here on Hive. I am heading to the park with friends soon so I will keep this one short!

Last Thursday was the HIM volunteer appreciation party kicking off the holiday with style with its signature buffet and games to win prizes. I fell in love with Omar, a dildo which I won at last year's party! HIM is all about gay men's health, expanding ever wider into the 2SLGBTQ community as the AIDS epidemic is becoming less monstrous. I think it's good that people who identify as genderqueer or gender diverse can enjoy the services of this grassroots organization. However, I also think certain programs should include men identifying folks only, may it be cis or trans, being non-binary should not open all the gates of queer culture, but that's just my opinion. I think exclusion is just as important as inclusion because otherwise it becomes a hodge-podge. That said, non-binary people are an underserved community so, because it takes time to build robust communities, for the time being, I am happy to share programs catered to men with them. Down the road, it would be nice to look at the sacrifices one must make to forgo the binary gender norms, not just the inclusion.

Look at those regal, beautiful drag queens in all their splendour. The Health Initiative for Men went all out this year, you can really tell.

My volunteering is all about facilitating the monthly life drawing but more on that later.

On another note, my brother procured himself a cute little kitten, would you just look at him?

To be honest, I can't even with him, he's just tooooo cute!

I am glad that this new companion it my brother's pride and joy and that he can help with things like loneliness or just having a little being to protect, look after and be responsible for.

When you think about it, so many invisible things can be at play when it comes to nourishing motivation and keeping apathy at bay.

    That's it for today folks.
    Love y'all

    Édouard
