Hello travelers of the world! This is officially my last post from the city of Cabimas and I feel a little nostalgic because it's been almost two months since I was visiting this place full of history and religion.
The name of Cabimas is derived from an herb that the Indians used to cure some diseases in the last century, is a quiet and warmer than my city, with clear skies and with its banks full of palm trees, although during the day you would not see so many people walking surely its inhabitants are proud and happy of the place where they were born.
I always visit the Plaza Bolivar of every place where I go because for me they have a very important meaning with respect to the history that is also anchored to my sense of belonging to my country Venezuela and curiously are always near its main churches called Cathedrals, Cabimas was not going to be the exception.
This square has something in particular that caught my attention and is that it has some black poles which provide the necessary lighting to its facilities at night, the center of it has a large open space for recreation or recreation, also some planters and benches to cover from the sun, as in this city is hotter than in Maracaibo.
I also came across the statue of our Liberator Simón Bolívar in black with some touches of aging on his costume, this time he was not on his horse but simply standing with his sword in his right hand and holding in his left hand what appears to be a parchment.
After walking about 15 minutes through the square we find a theater, which has a small museum with photographs of the Cabimas of yesteryear, with cars of the time between sandy streets, the first processions with its Patron Saint Benedict of Palermo leaving the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary and also some aerial views of Cabimas where you can see not only the residential areas but the Maracaibo Lake and the oil towers.
To almost finish our tour we arrived at what is its lake terminal, which although it was remodeled a little more than a couple of years ago is unused by its inhabitants, but the good thing is to be able to observe with calm the shore of the lake from another different geographical point.
It was a pleasure to share with you this well enjoyed walk through part of Cabimas and its Plaza Bolivar.

¡Hola viajeros del mundo! Oficialmente es mi última publicación de la ciudad de Cabimas y me siento un poco nostálgica porque hace casi dos meses que estuve visitando este lugar lleno de historia y religión.
El nombre de Cabimas se deriva de una hierba que los indígenas utilizaban para curar algunas enfermedades en el siglo pasado, es un municipio tranquilo y más cálido que mi ciudad, con cielos despejados y con sus orillas llenas de palmeras, aunque por el día no se viera a tantas personas caminando seguramente sus pobladores se sienten orgullosos y contentos del lugar en donde nacieron.
Siempre visito las Plaza Bolívar de cada sitio a donde voy porque para mi tienen un significado muy importante con respecto a la historia que además está anclado a mi sentido de pertenencia por mi país Venezuela y curiosamente siempre quedan cerca de sus iglesias principales llamadas Catedrales, Cabimas no iba a ser la excepción.
Esta plaza tiene algo en particular que me llamó mucho la atención y es que tiene unos postes negros los cuáles brindan la iluminación necesaria a sus instalaciones por las noches, el centro de la misma posee un gran espacio libre dispuesto para la recreación o el esparcimiento, también algunas jardineras y banquillos para cubrirse del sol, ya que en esta ciudad hace más calor que en Maracaibo.
También me encontré con la estatua de nuestro Libertador Simón Bolívar en color negro con unos toques de envejecimiento en su traje, está vez no estaba sobre su caballo sino simplemente parado con su espada en la mano derecha y sosteniendo en la mano izquierda lo que parece ser un pergamino.
Luego de caminar unos 15 minutos por por la plaza nos encontramos con un teatro, en él cuál dispone de un pequeño museo con fotografías de la Cabimas de antaño, con carros de la época entre calles de arena, las primeras procesiones con su Patrono San Benito de Palermo saliendo de la Catedral Nuestra Señora del Rosario y también unas vistas aéreas de Cabimas donde no sólo se observan las zonas residenciales sino el Lago de Maracaibo y las torres petrolíferas.
Para casi finalizar nuestro recorrido llegamos a lo que es su terminal lacustre, que aunque fue remodelado hace poco más de un par de años se encuentra sin uso por sus pobladores, pero lo bueno es que poder observar con tranquila la orilla del Lago desde otro punto geográfico distinto.
Fue un gusto compartirles este bien disfrutado paseo por parte de Cabimas y su Plaza Bolívar.
