Yesterday was a busy day. Besides all the stress of work, I spend a few hours packing most of the stuff I will take to Portugal tomorrow. I took the empty trailers from my folks home to ours in the morning and started making the puzzle of fitting all I had been keeping apart for the trip—old clothing, sleeping bags, camping gear, tools, etc. It was not an easy task as I wanted to have all the luggage as secure as possible.
On top of all the time packing, I had to stop by the hospital to have my monthly shot for the wasp allergy. They always give me antihistaminics so by 9 pm I fell asleep.
My friend's foam leftovers turned out to be priceless value as I could fit them between all the boxes and sides of the trailer. After three hours most of the stuff fit inside the trailer with two secured straps. All I need is to add the cover.
There are still a few things I need to fit inside the car, the gas generator, the small fridge, some food, my bag, and a couple of smaller things. But there should be no problem fitting those in the car as I will be traveling solo this time.
I want to get out of the garage carrying all the stuff sometime today to test the driving feeling with all the load. My idea is to leave very early tomorrow, around 4 am, it is a 10-hour drive on a regular trip but with the trailer, I am not allowed to pass 90 Km/h so It will take me two or three more hours this time. I want to reach my destination with daylight so I rather wake up early and feel no rush on the road.
I plan to share some posts from Portugal again. I need a few "relaxing" days. It will not be as much as I would like to as I will probably have to be on the computer a couple of hours a day but still feels like a short vacation.
