A Rekindling: Something Hive Has Done For Me

Barely three months into one of the best - if not the best - web3 blockchain, I can't help but count a chunk load of things this great blockchain has done for me. Ranging through different aspects and different concerns, it's an enormous and huge number, were I to speak or mention of all.

The Hive blockchain was something I've heard a couple of years back from my friends. These were people I hung around with most of the time. And by that, you can tell they just meant good for me by informing of the wonderful web 3 blockchain called Hive. I would say I was kind of hesitant at first, but for some reasons and by virtue of their value as friends, I knew it was something worth it. For other reasons I still didn't join, or rather couldn't join.

It was not as if I was unwilling to be a part of this wonderful platform, no. I had a gadget issue then which affected my desire to join at the time. Fast forward later, I kind of lost interest in the idea to join. I was keenly following up and getting involved with other aspects of my life. My friends kept on persuading me to join, and yeah, I still hesitated, for some reasons. I guess they did their best possible.

Fast forward to last year November, I became intentional about joining and becoming a part of this web 3 platform. With the right guidance and motivation from one of the influential persons here on this platform, I finally ventured into it. Without hesitation and with the needed morale, I launched into it with all zeal and diligence. It was a bit tricky and confusing at first, but I've come to find my place here and make my mark.

"One thing hive has done for you", so reads the prompt. I was thinking and counting the numerous things and I could just picture a long list. It amazed me how in such short time I could gain much from this platform. It dawned on me why my friends had been persuading me. Yeah, they knew what they were gaining and wanted me to share in it alongside. In my thought, I felt the management should have set the prompt to "what hive has done for you" instead. Of course, this was not to belittle their efforts, no. Rather because I discovered how much it has done, and it's quite a lot. But I guess their wisdom prevailed here, because if it was left to write on the things hive has done, that would be a long list.

Amongst the many things hive has done for me, through careful selection and a consideration of the various aspects; finance, knowledge, education, skills...I find one that stands profound for me to share on. This is in the sense of reawakening my skills, as a writer especially.

Speaking with a friend today who joined the platform recently, I was enlightening him on the need to focus on gaining and adding value to the platform rather than focusing on the reward or financial gains. I had the confidence to say this due to the fact that I've seen Hive help me become awakened in my writing, and become improved as well. I'll say is a "kill two birds with one stone" thing. Maybe three here. I have gained in the aspects of finance, knowledge and skills.

I've been writing for some years now. Being on and off in it. The last time I could remember being this consistent in this writing was like two years back, when I did a good number of writings, engaging in contests and competitions especially. You wouldn't probably know I write if you don't come across it in my bio or profile somewhere. Thanks to Hive, I am rekindled in that respect.

It wasn't just about rekindling this skill in me, rather it was also about causing an improvement in me. In every skill, one thing that's needed is daily growth. Through the constant reading of the works of many authors, I have learned better how to handle writing thereby having a better approach. Also, through constant writing on the platform, I've come to like writing the more and become better as well. The encouraging comments from fellow hivers has also been a booster.

Not to forget, I tend to have become kindled in one of my desired skills; photography. Through Hive, I've come to engage this skill and put it to practice like never before.
