Sawmill in the center of Minsk | PhotoFeed Contest - Street Photography Round 65

    Hello, friends!
Last May, while walking in the center of Minsk, I wandered into Rakovskoye Suburb. This is one of the oldest districts of Minsk, which arose along the ancient road leading to the city of Rakov back in the 11th century. In the 19th century it was an area of tenement houses, densely built and densely populated. The best preserved historical buildings are located along Rakovskaya Street. I walked along it and enjoyed the comfort of the old city. And suddenly, at the intersection with Vitebskaya Street, I saw an unusual monument - an old sawmill powered by a steam engine under a wooden roof.

This ancient sawmill was installed here by the Rakovsky Brovar beer restaurant, which is unobtrusively announced by a sign under a wooden canopy.
