# Happy New Year to all Asean Hiver's and Friends! Yesterday is the first day of the year, and we did our first day of celebration by exploring the mall and having fun with my kids. After New Year's Eve, we slept early because I planned to surprise my kids by taking them to the mall by treating them to a meal and playing with them.
I took it for granted to scape from my duties and responsibilities to keep on working online and took a short break from coaching Hive newbies onboard to chill for a while at the mall yesterday.
Its been a long time we didn't go out due to busy schedule, and finally I did it just for one day to spend quality time with my kids before they went back to school this Monday as school vacation is over and it's back to school again.
Going out with my kids is my kind of stress reliever, as it's too burnt out to keep staying at home. We went out yesterday at 1pm in the afternoon and took a bus going to the SM City Downtown mall. We are all so excited to see what is inside the mall now. I think it's been 5 months that we weren't able to visit the mall.
When we arrived at the mall, there are too many people around. I guess they are also taking for granted the vacation left to spend quality time with their families and friends. We were so amused when we saw the giant Christmas trees that are so attractive and the decor around. I couldn't stop myself from capturing photos around, and I asked my kids that I would take some pictures of them.
I told my kids that we go eat first before we continue roaming around because I feel hungry and I'm sure they like to eat too. I am thinking to dine at Mang Inasal Restaurant, and we went to the 2nd floor to dine at the restaurant, but I got attracted to P.O.P.S. restaurant because of their unli meal, but it's expensive, so we proceeded to Mang Inasal, but I took a picture of the motorela because it looks attractive with the orange color.
So I ordered a meal for the five of us and waited till our number would be called for the serving of food. What I like with Mang Inasal is the taste of their grilled chicken with the chicken sauce, the sinigang soup, and the unli rice, which can save a lot.
After eating, we continued taking pictures in the mall, and we saw a cute souvenir bag and a durian keychain that look so attractive, as well as the cute tarsier toy. What I love most is the picture of my kids, who obviously are enjoying the moment spent with me at the mall, and I know it will not happen again soon that we can go out and explore outside again.
