I like seeing silence in all its forms. Especially when the city is so loud.

It might sound misanthropic, but sometimes I just love seeing the street empty. I mean, no people, nothing.

It gives the city a kind of beautiful touch.

Like a breather from the daily chaos, the mess, and the rush.

When that happens, I definitely take the chance to photograph what catches my eye: lines, shapes, contrasts, all that stuff you see in city buildings.

It's not that I want humanity to disappear, like someone once asked me, but I do need to get away from it now and then, seeing as I can't even get away from myself.

Plus, it shows you the daily grind, like a mark that even being gone for a bit can't wipe out.

Basically, the human footprint and everything that comes with it.

Me gusta ver el silencio en todas sus formas, y más cuando la ciudad hace tanto ruido.

Puede que suene misántropo de mi parte, pero a veces disfruto ver la calle vacía. Es decir, sin gente.

Le da un toque de belleza a la ciudad.

Como si se tratara de un respiro del caos diario, del desorden y del ajetreo.

Cuando esto ocurre, aprovecho para fotografiar lo que me llama la atención: líneas, formas, contrastes y otros elementos presentes en la arquitectura urbana.

No es que desee la desaparición de la humanidad, como una vez me preguntaron, sino descansar de vez en cuando de ella, ya que no puedo descansar ni de mí mismo.

Además, te ayuda a ver el desgaste del día a día, como una huella que ni la ausencia momentánea puede borrar.

Es decir, el rastro humano y todo lo que implica su existencia.
