En esta oportunidad les traigo un proyecto que realicé para mi hija. Se lo dió de regalo a su mejor amiga el día de San Valentín, aprovechando la fecha para celebrar la amistad que las une desde hace más de una década.
La amiga de mi hija es fanática de la serie "Friends". Así que uní lo útil a su gusto personal y realicé este perchero organizador para su habitación.
Esa serie de televisión americana estuvo más de 10 años en el aire y se hizo mundialmente famosa. Su logo es un ícono, por eso lo escogí para decorar mi proyecto.
Sin más dilación les dejo la lista de materiales y el paso a paso. Como siempre les digo, cada cual adecúa el proceso según sus condiciones y capacidad creativa, no se limiten!!

This time I bring you a project I made for my daughter. She gave it as a gift to her best friend on Valentine's Day, taking advantage of the date to celebrate the friendship that has united them for more than a decade.
My daughter's friend is a fan of the series "Friends". So I combined the useful with her personal taste and made this coat rack organizer for her room.
That American TV series was on the air for more than 10 years and became world famous. Its logo is an icon, that's why I chose it to decorate my project.
Without further ado, here is the list of materials and the step by step. As I always tell you, everyone adapts the process according to their conditions and creative capacity, don't limit yourselves!!!
Necesitaremos:
- Una pieza de MDF de 30x13cm
- 4 tiradores de gaveta
- Tornillos
- Destornillador
- Taladro y barreras a la medida
- Pintura acrílica negra
- Papel artesanal
- Cúter
- Tijera
- Pinceles
- Pegamento
- PVC vinílico para corte de color blanco
- Plotter de corte
- Vinilo transportador
- Espátula de fieltro
- Sacabocado de 0,5mm
We will need:
- A 30x13cm piece of MDF
- 4 small handles
- Screws
- Screwdriver
- Drill and barriers to size
- Black acrylic paint
- Craft paper
- Cutter
- Scissors
- Brushes
- Glue
- White vinyl PVC for cutting
- Cutting plotter
- Conveyor vinyl
- Felt spatula
- 0.5mm punch
Primero mediré, marcaré y taladraré los orificios que necesito para colocar los tiradores. Haré un avellanado por detrás para que entre la cabeza del tornillo y quede perfectmente plano. No tengo que preparar la pieza porque voy a utilizarla tal cual sobró del trabajo anterior. Solo le pedí a mi esposo que en su taller le abriera los orificios por donde se colgará, pues no tengo fresa tipo "key hole" en casa. Si no tuviesen ese tipo de fresa, no se preocupen, se puede colgar de diferentes maneras. Pueden utilizar dos cáncamos cerrados, taladrar la pieza debajo de algún elemento para esconder el tornillo, fijarla a la pared con embellecedores o simplemente dejar el tornillo expuesto. La selección depende de ustedes.
First I will measure, mark and drill the holes I need to place the handles. I'll countersink the back so the screw head will fit through and it will be perfectly flat. I don't have to prepare the piece because I'm going to use it as it's left over from the previous job. I just asked my husband to have his shop drill the holes where it will hang, as I don't have a "key hole" type milling cutter at home. If you don't have that type of cutter, don't worry, it can be hung in different ways. You can use two closed eyebolts, drill the piece under some element to hide the screw, fix it to the wall with trims or just leave the screw exposed. The choice is up to you.
Posteriormente cortaré unas tiras de papel artesanal del grosor de la madera, las pegaré por el borde y pintaré todo con acrílico negro.
Then I will cut some strips of craft paper the thickness of the wood, glue them around the edge and paint everything with black acrylic.
Realizaré en Coreldraw el diseño de la decoración del perchero y lo mandaré a calar al plotter de corte instalado a la computadora. Nuevamente les digo que hay muchas maneras de obtener nuestros diseños. Pueden comprarlos ya calados, mandarlos a calar en algún lugar donde ofrezcan el servicio, recortar las letras a mano, hacerlas con troqueles en foamy. Escojan la que más les guste, se adecúe a sus condiciones y al diseño que hayan seleccionado.
I will make in Coreldraw the design of the decoration of the coat rack and I will send it to the cutting plotter installed in the computer. Again, there are many ways to get our designs. You can buy them already fretworked, have them fretworked somewhere where they offer the service, cut out the letters by hand, make them with foamy dies. Choose the one you like the most, the one that suits your conditions and the design you have selected.
Una vez calado el PVC vinílico retiraré el excedente. Con un pedazo suficiente de vinilo transportador tomaré mi diseño y lo pegaré bien sobre la superficie de mi pieza.
Once the vinyl PVC has been cut, I will remove the excess. With a sufficient piece of carrier vinyl I will take my design and glue it well on the surface of my piece.
Con la ayuda de un destornillador pondré los tiradores en sus respectivos orificios. Estaré reutilizado unos que fueron de un pequeño gavetero que se deterioró.
With the help of a screwdriver I will put the handles in their respective holes. I will be reusing some that were from a small drawer that deteriorated.
Con el uso de un sacabocado troquelaré 6 pequeños círculos y pintaré 2 amarillos, 2 azules y 2 rojos. Finalmente los pegaré en su lugar y el proyecto estará terminado.
With the use of a punch I will punch 6 small circles and paint 2 yellow, 2 blue and 2 red. Finally I will glue them in place and our project will be finished.
