Good morning!
Today again, as usual, I want to talk to you about an artist who is part of one of the most recognized bands of the late 90s!
I'm talking about Peter Anthony Salisbury, drummer of The Verve!
The Verve are a British rock band formed in Wigan. Since its inception, the band has been plagued by problems, with line-up changes, break-ups, health problems, lawsuits and, of course, the abuse of illicit substances such as drugs.
The band emerged around 1997 with the renowned album Urban Hymns, which was one of the best-selling albums of all time in the UK!
This album included several singles that were real hits at the time, and which still manage to get a few choruses from those who have listened to them for endless hours on the most commercial national radio stations. Among them are “Bitter Sweet Symphony”, “The Drugs Don't Work”, “Sonnet” and “Lucky Man”.
And it's from this list of four that I've selected the three singles to bring you today.
Very soon after the band's heyday, it disintegrated in mid-1999, citing irremediable internal conflicts.
In June 2007, the band reunited with their original line-up, releasing a single, “Love is Noise”, which I didn't know about until I researched it for today's post.
The band's growth and maturity is notable, marking a new direction.

Hoje mais uma vez, e como tem vindo a ser habitual, quero falar-vos de um artista que faz parte de uma das bandas mais reconhecidas do fim dos anos 90!
Falo-vos de Peter Anthony Salisbury, baterista dos The Verve!
Os The Verve são uma banda Britânica de rock, formada em Wigan. A banda sempre foi envolvida desde a sua gênese a alguns problemas, com mudanças de alinhamento, separações, problemas de saúde, processos judiciais e claro os abusos de substâncias ilícitas, como os estupefacientes.
