Presentación:
"Carlos Delgado Flores (1969) periodista, investigador, profesor universitario, funcionario público, emprendedor y activista. Periodista con más de 30 años de comprobada experiencia en las fuentes de política, economía, cultura, ciencia y tecnología. Investigador adscrito al Centro de Investigación de la Comunicación de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, del cual fue director en el período 2013-2019 y en donde llevó la línea de investigación Sociedad del Conocimiento y Entorno Digital. Profesor universitario en sociología y filosofía de la comunicación, opinión pública y seminarios metodológicos de investigación en comunicación social. Fue coordinador académico del Programa de Postgrado en Comunicación Social de la UCAB (2007 al 2013). Ha tutorado más de 40 tesis de grado con una calificación promedio de 18,4 puntos (18,4/20). Ha sido padrino de cinco promociones de la Licenciatura en Comunicación Social de la UCAB, mención periodismo y fue coordinador académico de la Cátedra de Honor Luis Ugalde, de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, entre 2015 y 2019.
Hasta el momento ha realizado edición y/o coordinación editorial de diez libros sobre temas de comunicación, cultura y economía. E igualmente, ha publicado desde 1994 a la fecha, más de 45 artículos académicos y 27 capítulos de libros en obras colectivas de interés académico y/o cultural.
Candidato a Doctor en Historia por la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. Obtuvo el titulo de Magister en Diseño y Gestión de Proyectos Tecnológicos en la Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, con calificación de 9.44/10 y el título de Magíster en Comunicación Social por la UCAB (2011) con la mención honorífica Summa Cum Laude, Licenciado en Comunicación Social por la Universidad Central de Venezuela (2003).
Como funcionario público ha sido Director de Investigación, Información y Estadísticas del Centro Nacional del Libro (2003-2004); y fue periodista adscrito a la Dirección en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Caracas Sofía Ímber, donde desarrolló tareas de investigación, educación y curaduría.
Como emprendedor, es multiplicador B certificado desde 2018 y ha sido semifinalista del Concurso Ideas en su edición 2020, y del ExO Challenge Colombia 2020 convocado por Purpose Aliance.
Como activista es miembro fundador del Laboratorio Ciudadano (LABO) desde 2018.
Casado desde 2003, con Belkis Ravelo, médico cirujano (1997) especialista en salud ocupacional (2004), es padre de dos hijas: Joanett y Sara."

"Carlos Delgado Flores (1969) journalist, researcher, university professor, public official, entrepreneur, and activist. Journalist with over 30 years of proven experience in the fields of politics, economy, culture, science, and technology. Researcher affiliated with the Communication Research Center of the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where he was director from 2013 to 2019 and led the research line on Knowledge Society and Digital Environment. University professor in sociology and philosophy of communication, public opinion, and methodological seminars for social communication research. He was the academic coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Social Communication at UCAB (2007 to 2013). He has supervised over 40 undergraduate theses with an average grade of 18.4 points (18.4/20). He has been the sponsor of five graduating classes of the Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication at UCAB, specializing in journalism, and was the academic coordinator of the Luis Ugalde Honors Chair at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from 2015 to 2019.
To date, he has edited and/or coordinated editorial work on ten books on communication, culture, and economy. He has also published, from 1994 to the present, over 45 academic articles and 27 book chapters in collective works of academic and/or cultural interest.

As an entrepreneur, he has been a certified B multiplier since 2018 and was a semifinalist in the Ideas Contest in 2020 and in the ExO Challenge Colombia 2020 convened by Purpose Aliance.
As an activist, he is a founding member of the Citizens' Laboratory (LABO) since 2018.

El Profe.
Creo que lo anterior expuesto es suficiente buena forma de presentar a mi amigo el profesor Carlos Delgado. Tal como lo menciono en el podcast, tomé clases de Filosofía de la Comunicación con él, además fue nuestro tutor en la Cátedra de Honor UCAB de aquel entonces.
El profe, fue quien me ayudó (y de hecho lo sigue haciendo) a pensar un poco fuera de la caja y salir un poco de la nostalgia y la melancolía que puede brindar la academia especialmente en estas áreas del saber, específicamente la Filosofía.
En este episodio número 4 tuvimos una pequeña conversación sobre saberes disruptivos. El motivo del tema es porque precisamente la disrupción estoy seguro es una de las principales características de la educación liberadora que promueve el profesor Carlos Delgado.
De hecho, recuerdo en la cátedra de honor cuando nos hablaba de criptomonedas como una forma de irrumpir en la sociedad.

I think the above is a good enough introduction to my friend Professor Carlos Delgado. As I mention in the podcast, I took Philosophy of Communication classes with him, and he was our tutor in the UCAB Honours Chair at the time.
He was the one who helped me (and in fact still does) to think outside the box and get out of the nostalgia and melancholy that academia can bring, especially in these areas of knowledge, specifically Philosophy.
In this episode number 4 we had a small conversation about disruptive knowledge. The reason for the topic is precisely because disruption, I am sure, is one of the main characteristics of the liberating education that Professor Carlos Delgado promotes.
In fact, I remember in the honorary professorship when he talked about cryptocurrencies as a way of disrupting society.
I also share with you some images of when the professor, some time ago, was publishing his most recent book about the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Sofía Ímber (MACSI) at the UCAB.
