Happy New Year to everyone! 🎉 I hope that 2025 will be a phenomenal year for each of you, full of joy, success, and unforgettable moments. May every day be filled with new opportunities and may all your dreams and goals come true.
In this new week, I want to share with you something very special. I had the opportunity to participate in a Christmas gala in December, and it was an incredible experience. The preparation was intense, but every moment was worth it. From choosing the perfect songs to rehearsing every note and movement, everything was done with a lot of love and dedication.
The song “The Christmas Song,” also known as “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” is one of the most beloved and recognizable Christmas tunes around the world. Written in 1945 by Mel Tormé and Bob Wells, this song has been covered by numerous artists over the years, but perhaps the most famous version is by Nat King Cole, recorded in 1946.
The story behind “The Christmas Song” is quite interesting. According to Mel Tormé, the song was written on a hot summer afternoon. Bob Wells had jotted down a few lines in an attempt to mentally cool off from the sweltering heat, and those lines became the basis for the song’s lyrics. The image of chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nibbling on noses, and choruses of carols evoke a sense of warmth and nostalgia that is perfect for the holiday season.
The song’s lyrics capture the essence of Christmas, painting a vivid picture of traditions and the holiday spirit. It tells of children eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus and the joy and love that is shared during this special time of year. The gentle melody and Nat King Cole’s warm performance have made this song a timeless classic that continues to resonate with people of all ages.
In addition to its popularity, “The Christmas Song” also holds deep meaning for many people. It evokes memories of family gatherings, cozy times by the fire, and the magic of Christmas. It’s a song that, despite being written over 75 years ago, is still relevant and beloved today.
I am very excited to show you the video of my performance at this gala. It is a reflection of all the effort and passion I put into each rehearsal. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed preparing it. Seeing your reactions and reading your comments always fills me with joy and motivates me to continue improving.
This is my entry for this new week, and I want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support. Every message, every “like,” and every comment means a lot to me. You guys are a fundamental part of this journey, and I can't wait to share more special moments with you all.
Lyrics
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa's on his way
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother's child is gonna spy
To see if reindeers really know how to fly
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
And so I'm offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety-two
Although it's been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
