Zizina otis, Little Butterfly

in voilk •  3 months ago

I am so happy that finally I have some day off from my work, been working for more than two weeks straight, and handling two sessions of 6 people groups. Quite tiring, and also they took most of my time. With this I would like to apologize to all of you who have commented on my posts, i really appreciate all of you, and I am so sorry for my late reply or response. I hope that I can be active starting today. : ) Since next week seems to be a little bit quiet.

And for today, I have this little butterfly today for all of you to enjoy. I took it some time ago during my last photo walk near my house. I thought I was lucky since it stayed still during my approach to take the shot of this butterfly. I think I have some luck with it since I manage to get these shots, but as soon as I adjust my position to get a better angle, it woke up and flew away from he.

This butterfly is Zizina otis, the lesser grass blue, is a species of blue (Lycaenidae) butterfly found in south and southeast Asia.. and look at the grey underside of this butterfly's wings. Too bad I could not get the shot of its upperside, since it seems that they have very different colors on their upperside and underside wings.

I moved a little bit so that I could get the photo of this butterfly from the front top side. it has quite long antennae, and also beautiful eyes.

And here is from the side, the last shot before it decided to fly away and leave me. I wish I could get more photos of this little beauty before it left. But getting these shots is actually not that bad, since butterfly can be really skittish.
