🦉 The Siberian long-tailed rosefinch (Carpodacus sibiricus)
    (outdated name - Uragus Sibiricus)

    • Carpodacus Greek: karpos fruit, daknō to bite
    • Uragus oura (Greek) tail, ago (Latin) set in motion, make
    • sibiricus (lat.) Siberian

One day in early spring I was walking through a difficult place near a narrow tributary of an already small river. And there in the bushes I saw this bird. She jumped on the branches and ate the buds.

It was a female, she was a modest light gray color with some brown. And the males are beautiful, pink.
In general, I don’t see these birds often, usually in the fall. Near the river, or in the grove.
