The Challenge of Noxious Fumes: Defeating Quora in the Battle

    Hello Family

The battle I'm sharing today happened with one of the rulesets being noxious fumes. Noxious fumes is a ruleset where all units will have poison at the start of the battle. Whenever this ruleset comes up, our first thought is often to use monsters with healing or immunity to avoid being affected by the poison. Is that correct? Because for me, this is the first thing that comes to mind - to use monsters with healing or immunity so that the effect of the poison will be lessened or avoided. Which monster has this ability? Currently, the monsters with this ability are Kralus and Quora, so they are often chosen when encountering this ruleset. But our problem is that the rent for Kralus is expensive, and when it comes to Quora, it's hard to get her from the Gladuis pack even if we say she's already level 3 with immunity. Even in my collection, my Quora is only at level 2 since I started playing last September 2021. Let's admit, it's difficult to beat her when you encounter Quora in this ruleset, she's even harder to beat compared to Kralus. Why is it difficult to beat her? It's because of her bloodlust and you can even pair her with two martyrs, making Quora even stronger. Because of the Earth element, there's a monster with martyr ability, which adds to the difficulty if it's available in the neutral lineup. This is the purpose of my article - how I defeated Quora (I was just lucky to win) in this ruleset. My opponent used a level 3 Quora and placed two martyrs to make her even stronger. But my strategy was speed and damage to defeat her. Come, let's see how I defeated Quora in the battle.

    BATTLE CONDITION

    TEAM COMPOSITION

The summoner I chose for this battle is Possibilus The Wise to give all units an additional +2 health. And because I'll be using melee attackers in the battle, trample could be helpful if it triggers. For the first position, I chose Dumacke Orc, a melee attacker with shield and retaliate abilities. We know Dumacke only has one health, but because one of the rulesets is equalizer, his health will increase to match the highest health on the battlefield. For the second position, I chose Kulu Mastermind, a melee attacker with weapons training, opportunity, and shield. Kulu Mastermind's weapons training will help give Grimbardun Smith the melee attack ability. For the third position, I chose Grimbardun Smith, a non-attacking monster with immunity ability at level 1. Grimbardun Smith's immunity can prevent him from being affected by poison. For the fourth position, I chose Daarg Deadblast, a magic attacker with weapons training and swiftness abilities. Since my plan for the battle is speed and damage, Daarg Deadblast's swiftness will be a big help in giving all units +1 speed. The weapons training, on the other hand, will provide additional magic attack to Grimbardun Smith. For the fifth position, I chose Noa The Just, a non-attacking monster with rust ability at level 2. The rust ability will reduce the opponent's armor by -2. And for the final position, I chose Anasth Soothsayer, a magic attacker with tank heal and cleanse abilities at level 2. Anasth Soothsayer's cleanse will remove poison from the 1st position while healing at the same time.

    KEY NOTES

Because the opponent placed a monster with 13 health on the battlefield, Dumacke Orc gained +12 health, plus an additional +2 from Possibilus, so Dumacke Orc's total health, along with other units, became 15.

Because Grimbardun Smith is caught between two weapons training with different attack abilities, he acquired two types of attack abilities.

Anasth Soothsayer's ability is perfect for the noxious fumes ruleset because she will provide protection against poison for the 1st position while also healing it at the same time.

    BATTLE SUMMARY

In round 1, Daarg Deadblast killed the opponent's Grum, the first monster to die in the battle.

Even with two stat boosts for Quora, first in round 3 due to Marksrat's martyr and second in round 4 due to bloodlust from killing Dumacke Orc, she still couldn't survive because of the significant damage she received from Kulu Mastermind, Noa The Just, and Grimbardun Smith, causing her death in round 4.

The battle ended in round 5 with the killing of Runemancer Flore by Anasth Soothsayer.

Until next social media challenge bye for now.
